For the ones that have problems making the mod work Here are some solutions!! (I will be adding more once people find another bug!)
- If you download the mod via Vortex, the assets will be downloaded to the wrong folder and then it won't work. However, if you manually insert the images into the folder you specified, everything works!
- You all need the latest version of the Portraiture Modand you only get the latest version (alpha) if you explicitly select it on the mods page!
- If Any character is not loading well, It's because another mod is interfering with it, for example, if you have any other mod that changes any character appearance (Not in the Portraiture mod, but in other ones)
- After downloading the folder, you need to decompress the file using a decompress program since they are in a .rar format! if you are using a .zip program, change the file name to .zip and you will be able to decompress it!
- If any portrait doesn't work and the others do make sure that any other mod DOESN'T have a portrait of that character, for example, Merlon, Sandy and Gil have a portrait on the Stardew Valley Expanded mod, just copy the ones that are on your portraiture folder mod into the folder of that character on the SVE mod PLEASE READ
PLEASE, don't leave posts or message me about other mods, if any other mod (like smapi, portraiture or HD portraits) doesn't work, message the CREATORS of that mod, not me, I can't fix a mod that is not mine :(
Hello, I'm using a romancable wizard mod (the one called Romancable Rasmodius - Updated) and the portraits work just fine but I can't seem to get the sprite to work, could the romance mod interfere with that? I'm using the romance version of your sprite mod.
Ok I actually just figured out how to fix this, had to play a bit with the config.json of the romance mod to disable the sprites that come with the romance mod and now it works! :D
I have a little problem The mod works but it's just that Mr. Qi and Dr. Snail didn't show any effect. It's still the original image. I don't use Stardew Valley Expanded or any other appearance mod.
I had the same problem. Not sure how to fix Dr. Snail, but changing the filename for Mr. Qi's portrait to "Mister Qi" made that portrait work for me. In other words, open the "Assets" folder in your Portraiture mod folder, scroll to Mr. Qi's png file, right click and rename the file from the default "Mrqi" to "Mister Qi".
Edit: Change Dr. Snail's filename to "Professor Snail" using the same process detailed above. (His portrait file is titled "SafariGuy" by default.)
