Im getting after installing and setting up mod, is this compatible with modded NPCs?

Anyway you can add where it adds to the chat or pop up message. I used another mod while this one got fixed but I like this one better (because tells what gift) but I like the other one also because you have an option to add to chat. Also it helps me remember because I can pull up chat and see it.
Maybe it's just me but I have no config.json, only manifest. Not sure if I have to add the coding manually or it's supposed to be there automatically so I can change the true/false

-update- This warning happens everytime there is no bday
