Adding a config into the download is generally frowned upon, it would be better to just make the mod generate a config that includes your intended default values, or upload the config as an additional/optional file.

SMAPI will tell people that there is an update for this mod, and a lot of people will unknowingly overwrite their config assuming that there are bug fixes and not looking at the contents. Additionally, the manifest wasn't updated in the new download so SMAPI will permanently suggest updating this mod unless they manually change it themselves.

I'm kind of confused at what these config changes are, I barely understand how to use mods as it is, does this force specific settings or are we still able to change them to what we want?

I'm in the exact situation you described, SMAPI told me to update and I've downloaded it but haven't put it in the game yet. I only use it in multiplayer, and I don't want the mode to be set to "All", we have been using "Any". I was previously using WAIT, but they stopped updates in favor of this one, and I honestly find this one SO much more confusing TT_TT

Again, this is not my mod. I'm just the uploader. I have zero knowledge of how it functions or how to change anything. So if you don't like the default config then delete it after you unzip the mod.

I keep updating this but smapi keeps telling me there's STILL an update. I looked at the files in the new one supposedly and it still say's its 1.0.0 when the save file name says it is the 1.2.2. It seems to be working relatively well even without a true update but having smapi keep telling me there's an update when I've replaced it several times is rather annoying. I really want this mod though, so I'll put up with it until there's a fix - hopefully. Or maybe someone else will take pity on us and help. Hahaha.

It looks like the manifest.json didn't get updated when uploading the fix.  You can update the version there to match the "1.2.2-unofficial.1-CabooseSage", if the warning is bugging you.

There is no update. I did reupload the files to add a default config file and SMAPI is confused by that. Not sure how to fix it. Sorry. Just ignore it for now.

    Heyo,
does anyone know, regarding multiplayer, if only the host would need to have this mod installed and launched via SMAPI, and the "farm-hands" can join via vanilla steam, or does everyone need to have it installed and launched the modded way?
I currently started playing Stardew again with a friend, and since I enjoy the mines and fishing the most, my time (no pun intended) is a bit miserable. I hope having a better time adjustment for multiplayer could fix that issue.
    Best wishes for every answer

Technically only the host needs it. But if your friend ever wants to host or whatever then it's a good idea for them to have it too.

So I don't know why but this mod is telling me to update constantly even though there is no update, and I have overwritten my configs enough times to know how I like them set at least.

Same, it's the only one of my mods that has this behaviour.  I use Stardrop mod manager which shows the update status to be 1.2.2-unofficial.1-CabooseSage but after updating version number remains at 1.0.0.  Also, on Nexus the mod is called Time Master (UNOFFICIAL UPDATE) but in Snowdrop it is called ItsStardewTime.

SAME!! I know I'm not doing it wrong but it still say's there's an update. It doesn't change to the labelled version either of 1.2.2. It just stay's 1.0.0!! I'm glad I'm not the only one. Haha. Anyone found a work around?

If you go into the manifest.json file you can update the version there from "1.0.0" to "1.2.2-unofficial.1-CabooseSage" and that should stop Stardrop from continuously telling you it's ready to update.

Yeah probably because I did a reupload of the files with a config. But it doesn't really matter though. Just ignore the notification in SMAPI. Everything works for me otherwise so unless something is broken, this mod likely won't be updated.

It looks like the "Fair" option for multiplayer disappeared. Is that intended?
Also all my speeds got changed to 100% in the update.

Mod makes Mines kinda unplayable. Enemies freeze and become immune to damage while another coop player is in pause cause of cutscene or smth else.

NVM I jast had to change one checkmark in mod settings

There is a setting for that - not sure if turned on or off by default, but you can definitely change it so that one player can keep going through the mines no matter if time is paused or not. (Source: Using it in my own multiplayer games and we have no issues)

There's a setting in the config menu to pause enemies, health when the game is paused. If you're seeing enemies frozen then that's because the game is paused when you're trying to fight them. I recommend you also change the time based on locations settings to 100% for all of them (which means default time flow for all locations) and then adjust from there how you want.

I'm not likely to contribute to the mod beyond updating to newer versions as I don't have a lot of extra time to devote to that, but I may look into this to see if there's an easy way to add this. In the meantime:

Your best bet is probably Pause Mode under Multiplayer Host-only options.

Setting this to "All" would make it so the time will only pause if all players are doing something which would normally pause time in single player, or at least that's my understanding. This should reduce the amount of pausing you experience, but still allow the game to pause when particularly relevant, like when you both are talking to NPCs.

For pausing in multiplayer you can change those settings in the mod config menu under multiplayer. Pause Mode changes how the game determines the need to pause. Default in local multiplayer (split screen) is ALL, which means all players need to be in a menu to pause. If you then set the Time Speed Mode to Average then when one person is paused and one person isn't (when playing with two players) then the game will play at half speed while only one person is paused. For four players, if one person is paused and the rest aren't then it would be at 75% speed of normal speed. For eight players with one player paused it would be 87.5% of normal speed. See how that works? So yes you can change how the game is paused and how pause functions in multiplayer.

Is this module compatible with Ridgeside Village

I can't see any reason it wouldn't be compatible.

Ridge Side also boasts this on their page:

"Ridgeside Village has no known incompatible mods so far. However, this is not to say no issues will arise when mixing and matching mods on an existing save - It just means you will have to manually fix these issues the first time they appear. See our common bugs wiki page for more info."
