Hi, I didn't see any optional files on Portraiture. Maybe they've updated or removed them, or maybe I'm just blind, but I'm getting the same issue with the log saying the folders are empty. I downloaded through Vortex, but I tried going into the files and deleting the vortex files like you suggested, and I also tried moving them into the portraiture folder, under 'Portraits' in a folder of their own, since when I first downloaded the mod they were just in separate folders and with the main mods. I am not good with computers at all. This stuff flies right over my head, which is why I usually have Vortex do all the work for me. It is very impressive to me that you guys are able to code all of this.
Anyway, if you know of any way to fix this, I would appreciate it, because your art is stunning. Thank you!
You know, I think I actually got it working. When SMAPI comes up it still says it's not working, but in the game it does. Not sure if I'll have any problems in the long run, but for now it seems okay.
i love this so much is there any way i could make this sebastian , plus when i did try add it i followed all the rules and didnt show but i did have anime portraits so i deleted it but still nothing
what did you do to fix it? I keep getting the same thing. it just says that it's an empty folder despite holding the .png file with the Wizard's portraits.
Check to make sure you don't have a conflicting mod, and check the Portraiture mod page for any possible answers. Also make sure you are pressing P when in dialogue with the character.
Putting the SVE version in worked even though I have both mods? I thought the RRR version was supposed to go into the folder? I'm just glad to get it working now!
Ahhh, thank you for making this mod!! It's beautiful, you made him look so lovely! Do you plan on making more portraits? I would absolutely love to see Sam in your style, but any of them would be amazing <3

Make sure you download the Portraiture under the 'Optional Files'
Make sure your file path is like this: "steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods\Portraiture\Portraits\Candicorn_Alex\Alex.png"
If you downloaded with vortex go into all the folders with the pictures and delete the vortex file leaving ONLY the png files.
Make sure you're pressing 'P' when in dialog with the character and keep pressing it until the portrait shows up, press 'O' to fix it to that one

If anything stops working, I'd ask on the Portraiture mod page!
