I was tired of hay management troubles so I searched Nexus to find your mod, as well as this mod at https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/21008 "Hay Collection" which both claim to do the same thing; Pickup where "Better Hay" left to bring stacking hay without losing it anymore due to Silo size (but you may still lose if your backpack is full).
Thing is, while I like the name of your Mod better, your mod is lacking the "Hay Animation" from Vanilla game (nice feedback as visuals) which the Hay Collector (other) mod does. Your mod only does the bottom-left hay count infotip but not the animation itself while the competitor mod does both the infotip and the animation. So may I suggest you also add the hay animation to not lose your users to the other mod?
Sorry, while I do get hay from scythe without silo, I still need to manually put them on the tray each day (especially in winter) and can not use the auto hay hopper since I don't have the silo. Anyway to get around this that I'm not aware?
Don't think this mod is suppose to replace the silo. It's suppose to make it possible to get Hay prior to having one. Your solution is to build a silo.
