UPDATE (3/21/2024): This mod now supports version 1.6 of Stardew Valley and version 4.0 or greater of SMAPI. Other mods are now supported! BUT, not officially - use at your own risk. Any mod that adds a new building to the Carpenter or Magician menu (and maybe other custom mod characters too - basically anything with a blueprint) can now be built using the Instant Build Menu. The compromise for this new functionality is that some custom behaviors I added in the past to make the menu and building process work better no longer work. For example, now there is a flash between selecting a building to build and actually building it, and the view on your farm resets to your farmhouse with each building you try to build. These behaviors are exactly like what happens when you build from the actual Carpenter menu (Robin) or the Magician's menu. Unfortunately, these are not fixable with the new method I am using to support mods. Enjoy!

this mod is so good for customizing my farm. when I started this game from the beginning, one quest, "raising animals" came out. this quest demands me to build a coop. And I tried to build one. But this quest was not completed. this issue may be related to this mod. Do you have any solution to this problem?
Having the same problem. My best suggestion would be to temporarily uninstall the mod until you've finished the quest and then reinstall it once the quest is completed. Hopefully the mod author figures this out!
Same. At first I thought it was because I was pulling up the build menu from the farm rather than go to the store to buy it, but it seems the instant part is keeping the quest from updating. I don't think this quest leads to anything or blocks progress so I just left it there on my last game. Starting a new game with the patch and will probably wait to install this until after I complete the quest.
i've changed the use of resources in the config to false, yet it's still telling me i need wood and stone to build things? :( would appreciate some help, i had to completely restart my game due to a corrupted save and i'm trying to get back to where i was building-wise, rip!
edit: nevermind, i didn't see there were multiple options in the in-game menu! this mod's gonna be a lifesaver, tysm omg.
hi there, i went to change the file so that i could get the buildings done for free, but i don't have a file for that unless i'm in the wrong place? it just has the dll and manifest T_T
config files are usually generated after running the game once. Otherwise you can make your own file if it won't generate. Make a .txt file, rename it config.json. When it asks if you want to convert the file type, say yes (it's a blank file, there is nothing to corrupt). open it, then paste this. If you want it to be free, set BuildUsesResources to false.
If it does not ask if you wish to convert the file type, you will need to enable hidden extensions for your file explorer. You can technically brute force it by making a copy of the manifest, changing it to config, and replacing everything inside with that code up there, but at that point I would just be wondering why running the game did not generate a config file for you.
I dunno, maybe this will teach someone at least something about coding :P
Like many others, I'm on multiplayer and it is a nightmare having to share Robin. I found this mod and was pretty excited! Thank you for working so hard to update this mod.
--Edit: Never mind! It magically started working :P
I always appreciate your hard work and am grateful that you keep the mod updated despite your busy schedule. Moreover, I would like to express my deep gratitude for the effort you have put into creating this mod. Unfortunately, I am writing this message because I encountered a problem while using your mod. After installing the tractor mod and building a garage, the tractor does not appear, and even after summoning it, it disappears again once I get off. Additionally, when I build a stable, the stable itself disappears. I confirmed that this happens even without the tractor mod. Considering the possibility of a conflict with other mods, I also tried running the game with only 'CJBCheatsMenu', 'CJBItemSpawner', 'CJBShowItemSellPrice', and the default mods installed by SMAPI, 'ConsoleCommands' and 'SaveBackup', but encountered the same issue. I understand you're very busy, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could take a moment to look into this.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused by my non-native English and the use of a translator, which may result in less smooth language. I hope you have a great day.
This isn't really a helpful comment I'm about to make, but I read your whole message and I have to say that you type better English than most Americans :P Nicely done and what a nice message to the mod creator!
Once you load the game for the first time with the mod added, close your game and go to that mod's folder. You can change the keybinds in the config file that generates. I recommend using Notepad++ to edit the file.

Update: Looks like UI Info Suite 2 uses the 'B' key for calendar. Rebind or unbind that first if you use that mod as well.
