I recommend everyone to use this instead as it has many more features. I will likely stop working on this mod in the current state. If anything, I would look into adding features to with Time Master as a base instead.
Can you add an time slow option where, if 1/2 of the players are paused, time moves at 1/2 speed? Similar to the TimeMaster mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/16192 )
When I play split screen coop the pause icon stops showing, but the game keep paused. Probably a HUD problem, can you check? Sorry, didn't see the new patch, I'll try this fix.
I doubt the new update would fix it. I haven't considered split screen mode. I believe the game already supports some sort of pausing in split screen. As such, the mod isn't designed for split screen play.
Default behavior in split-screen co-op mode is the game only pauses when the host's game would be paused, not when the secondary players do something that would pause the game (opening a menu, triggering a cut scene, etc.)
In 1.5.* my wife and I used the mod Time Master (Slow Time and Pause in Multiplayer) so that time would pause when anyone did something that should pause the vanilla game if they were in single player mode.
We be super thrilled if you could factor in split-screen play to the mod and I'm sure other players would be too!
Thank you for the author's work, but there is a small issue encountered in version 0.1.2. Simply put, the host player cannot correctly detect the pause behavior outside of the mine map (but fishing can). There are no issues with the client; whether opening the page with ESC or entering the plot, it can pause in the 'pause when any player pauses' mode. There are no other mods that modify time behavior in the Mod, nor SVE, only UIinfo2 and convenience inventory. may same as @AstroScrolls. I'm not sure. I haven't tried version 0.1.3 yet. If the issue persists, I will try disabling other mods and only run this mod to see if the problem still occurs. My friend and I installed this mod yesterday, our first time using a multiplayer mod. I opened our existing co-op farm but when he tries to join, he gets an error "no cabin available", as if he's a new player to the farm when he's not. We deleted the mod and unfortunately still get the error if I launch my game with any mods at all. I had to launch without SMAPI in order for the game to work.
I had previously been playing with SMAPI and some other mods on my end, and he was playing without any mods. The only change was using this mod, even though we were still getting the error after deleting it. Any ideas about this error?
Do you see any errors in the SMAPI console when this happens? I don't think the mod can cause this issue. Additionally, it shouldn't affect the save file.
Hi, looks like non-hosts eating food during a pause has a bug. Eating food will not add a buff, health will not be increased, but energy will be increased. You can actually see a split second where the buff/health increase can be seen and then reverts back (presumably to the host's game state). Eating food when game is not paused has no observed issue. Different settings don't seem to affect this
THANK YOU for making something like this. We've always used lolmaj's Multiplayer Time in the past, but that mod hasn't been updated in a while (so it's super broke with 1.6). With no update in sight, this really fills in a gap that makes multiplayer more enjoyable for me and my group.
We were tired of running around with the clock always ticking no matter what we're doing. Fishing, cutscenes, dialogue, inventory management, this makes it all so much more manageable. Especially with just a two-player game. The override key is also a nice touch for niche situations!
The only suggestion I have is having some kind of HUD that displays when a player is in a paused state, that way you can courteously "pause" and do something else for a second if you want to, or you can see how many people are trying to pause. Multiplayer Time has that feature and it was always nice to see that info.
Anyway, love the mod and will be using for a while as it breathes a more peaceful Stardew experience back into our lives. Lord knows most of us have no idea how to make something like this, so you're really helping us all out!
when me and my friend both have the mod installed, and both having 'pause when any player is paused' checked, the game will not pause when either or both of us are in our inventories. I'm not sure if im misunderstanding or its just not working properly.
Does this only apply to inventory or does it never pause in the game? There might be another mod affecting it. It definitely sounds odd if both players are not enough to pause the game.
Try with all other mods disabled.
Try it with only the host online. Does the pause icon show up?
Sorry if this doesn't really help. I'm unable to recreate the issue. Feel free to dm me for more help.

Thank you for your support.
Quote, "Again, this is not my mod. I'm just the uploader. I have zero knowledge of how it functions or how to change anything."
I like WAIT a lot, other than the weird artifacts it puts onto Daily Screenshot.
Hope you'll reconsider.

Also this setting only matters when set by the host.
