The .alt files exist if you want the alternate version of the portraits, ex. abigal_alt.xnb includes a ribbon in her portrait, whereas the normal abigail.xnb doesn't have a ribbon. If you want to use the alternate files you'd have to replace the normal file with the alt file, it's a bit complicated, so if you're not too familiar with all that you can ignore them :)
So excited for the SVE portraits! I've been loving this so far; the way they blend well with the vanilla art style is lovely and I'm so hyped to see how cute everyone is! I know it'll look amazing ^u^

Just noticed that a lot of NPCs got updated beach portraits in the new 1.6 update, currently working on getting those fixed <3
Done! This mod should be fully compatible with the newest 1.6 update now :)
