I've got MaykellW's mod they made that makes these eggs hatch into different birds and things.
I downloaded this as a manual download, so I could take a look at the Json file and adjust it further. If I wanted eggs to start spawning in the 2nd year on, would I use this under each:
"ExtraConditions": { "Years": [], and put 2 in the brackets? Or, if I wanted certain seasons, just put it directly: Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer?
2+ to get it to start spawning in year 2. 2 alone would limit them to the second year. For seasons, you'd put ["Spring", "Summer", "Fall", "Winter"], instead of notating it with slashes. If you wanted them to start spawning in a specific season, I'd copy the whole section to make a second instance, and have it year [2] season ["fall", "winter"] and then year [3+] season [all]

Emphasis on trying, haha. If I succeed, would it be okay for me to publish my attempt? Not the entire mod, just my addon. People would still need to download the Content Patcher version. Interestingly, I tried to target your JA egg, but my game inexplicably refuses to display any JA items, even though it indicates that the JA pack is loaded xD
That's amazing! I will wait for your conversion, then. I'll only need the egg's object ID. My game finally decided to load JA items, so I was able to test with your JA version and it works! Thanks again for the mod :)
Could you assist me with something? I’m deciding on an animal as the default choice. Which do you think is better: a duck or a chicken? Chickens are more common, but a duck fits the “wild egg” aspect better.
Oh, sorry. I should have explained it better. The egg could be a chicken, duck, dinosaur(although that option is disabled by default), or a few other coop animals available here on Nexus. Each animal has its own probability of being selected, but there’s also a chance that none will be chosen. That’s why I thought of using a default animal if that's the case
Sorry, I wasn't online earlier :/. It’s awesome that you sorted out the FTM issue. With the update, I tweaked my mod, and I’m diving into the game right now to test it. Fingers crossed xD
Do you think it would be possible to put these eggs in fish tanks? I have the natural terrarium project mods and I think it would be pretty cool if it were possible to put these eggs in a tank (similar to the critter additions mod that allows you to collect critters in world and place them in tanks) to look like an incubation hutch. If it isn't possible, it's no big deal. I just thought it could be a cool feature to have.
I have an idea but don't know how hard it would be to implement: Treating wild eggs for animals the same way mixed seeds work for planting. Hatch them but with no idea what will come out. Will it be a dinosaur, will it be your 451st normal chicken, who knows?
