I've used the CP version for a while and when I saw your mod a question remained, why should I replace the CP version to the AT version? Is there any difference between the two? or just CP and AT in general?
As far as I'm aware, the benefit to using Alternative Textures is that it lets multiple different texture mods play nicely with eachother when changing the same asset, allowing you to pick and choose which textures you want to use on the fly in-game. Since CP replaces/overwrites vanilla textures, every silo will look like a haybale stack. With this AT version, you could have one silo look like haybales while another looks like the wooden silo from Elle's Seasonal Buildings and so on. Other people have used AT to apply dozens of textures to the same easily craftable object, like the Wooden Sign, to add new decor options to the game without adding new clutter to your inventory with new items. Also, if you really like just *one thing* from someone's texture pack but dislike everything else, AT allows you to preview and disable specific textures from its menu. TL;DR: If you want haybale silos and only haybale silos, then there is no reason to use this version instead of the CP version. If you dislike fiddling with in-game menus and fine tuning things to be just how you want them to be, i advise against using Alternate Texture mods.
