Hi everyone. The seasonal update is finally here. There are a lot of new options, lot of choice and lot of flowers. If you encounter issues, i will need a log (with patch summary if possible), and the content of your config.json. A screenshot may also be useful. I suggest you to read the article about options, some options are a bit limited to specific cases at the moment.
To have a patch summary in your log : - load the save, then enter the map with the issue (for this mod, it's usually the farm) - go in the smapi console, and type "patch summary" (without the "") - then post your log as usual on https://smapi.io/log/ and give the link here
Thanks a lot ! Since this update has a lot of stuff, don't expect me to fix issues without a log, thanks for your understanding :)
Hi, I just want to say thank you for creating this mod.
I love the vanilla texture and aesthetic, so seeing a transformation that celebrates the original style makes me cherish this mod so much. It's been almost a decade since it was released, and I still love it. Whatever updates you prepare, I will look forward to them. Take your time, I will always support you.
I love this mod a lot and have used it for a while now to great results, but since it's not compatible with recolour mods for now (I just tried it with Vibrant Pastoral and the vanilla colours looked out of place), I'd like to ask if there is any plans to add this in the future for popular recolours (DaisyNiko, Starblue, Vibrant Pastoral, etc.)?
For the moment i haven't planned such thing, as i'm best when working with vanilla style (vibrant colors and such). I want first to update the mod to a newer system (that would be more convenient to use and offer more flexibility), and then if it is done i'll see about having more options!
Thanks for the update! And, I completely understand why there's no recolour support, for now I will continue to enjoy this mod with the vanilla palette.
Just use the Generic Mod Configuration menu, you don't have to edit the actual .json files in your Mods folder that way. To access the GMCM, download the mod then press the cog that should appear on the left of the menu, or open the settings tab of the menu in-game, scroll to the very bottom, and press the button that says "Mod Options".
Hmm, last time i tested it worked fine, but i don't remember if it was with this exact set of options. You can try another style and see if it solves the issue, which will help narrowing down the issue (and possibly provide a workaround), but it's quite some time since i worked on the mod.
Edit : i just saw your other post, i'm not seeing an obvious cause then. Your log doesn't have other mod changing the stable as far as i can tell.
Did you type this log yourself orrr not? The mod doesnt rlly work w my game nd i`m trynna figure out what might be the reason for it. Sorry to bother,:D
Just wanted to say that I absolutely *love* the white coop!! I know it was put in as an experimental feature for painting, but it ended up being my favourite out of all the colours >w<; Did the tests for it and painting go well? I'd love to have a white barn option, but I bet making all 9 options for each colour of animal house is a lot of work.
I'm so happy with how my house turned out, too! At first I was going to just use the fishystyle for my beach farm but then I was able to make something I liked even better, yay!! Thanks for making such an in-depth custom house system :3
I don't have a lot of the other buildings, I'm still early in the game, but I really look forward to getting and customizing them in the future <3
ETA I JUST SAW THE FISH STYLE SILO AND I HAPPY CRIED i love that it's a little lighthouse omggg this is so perfect for my beach farm
Can you explain how to actually configure this? I can't make heads or tails of it, to the point where I'm tempted to delete this and blacklist the mod author, because this is frustrating to the point of absurdity. There's no explanation anywhere that I can find. The author apparently just assumes it's self-evident.
The author is trying her best but remember that english isn't the native language of everyone and that it's quite hard to explain stuff based on different knowledge in modding.
If you start the game with smapi once, it'll create a config.json that you can then open with a text editor or use the https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098 Generic Mod Config Menu to edit (which may be easier if you're not super familiar with the process). Yes, i am repeating explanation i already gave in the hope that we are now on a common ground. Now, can you elaborate which part you have trouble with? Finding the config.json? Opening it? Finding which values to put where?
please post instructions on how to customize buildings. it has been years since i last did it and i have been crying and tearing my hair out trying to figure it out again...
You run the game once to create the config.json file, then edit the config.json (either with text editor, or using the mod allowing to edit them). There's an article listing most of the config options.
Ist there any way I can disable the house? I really like this mod but it conflicts with another mod ( wizard style house) and the textures clash together. I'd like to have both mods but turn off the house for this one. Is this possible?
