Hi! Thank you for this mod and I really appreciate the work you put into this mod. I encountered a problem with being unable able to pick up rugs I've moved slightly. This makes the rug just stick to the floor and I can't pick it up anymore. Please let me know if anyone else is experiencing this or if this is another mod causing it! Thanks sm for reading!
This is not related to this mod. Happy Home Designer does not change pickup/placement rules. If you have Precise Furniture or Furniture Placement Tweaks, it may be caused by one of those.
Hi, I have a question—some "rare" furniture items, like the large futan bear you get from the museum, are not accessible through the catalogue. Is it because this mod supports only items spawned from game catalogues and not "rare" items? Your catalogue is a godsend when looking for fun alternative textures, but sadly the textures of such items like the bear are not visible in the catalogue... (the bear itself too)
This mod uses catalogue stock as-is, it does not add or remove anything, since it's intended primarily as a menu replacement. However, it fully supports edits made by other mods. In your case, I would recommend Better Furniture Catalogue, which adds all the decorative items that are "missing" from the vanilla catalogues.
I'm so sorry to bother you, but each time that I want to use a furniture with differen variants it's just won't work (I can't select other options of object + it's not even active as it is)
Hi there, me again. Would you consider adding a non-cheat hotkey that only brings up catalogs you own? Having to lug them from building to building is kind of a pain.
This isn't an *issue*, per se, but I'm at the very beginning of my save, just started week two. I have HHD installed, and when I open the catalog, I have access to a ton of decorating elements that I haven't bought yet, like Novaphene's retro catalog. Is it supposed to work like that? It's lovely being able to make my starter home look nicer right off the bat, but I feel like I'm stealing from Pierre and Robin.
How are you accessing it, and what do your config options look like? If you're using the hotkey to open it, the menu will have all items accessible. I can add an option for that if you want? Additionally, enabling "EarlyDeluxe" will add all items to the combined wall/floor/normal catalogue.
I'd been opening it with shift-H, is there another way? I haven't bought any catalogs yet in this save. I didn't enable Early Deluxe because I wanted to have something to work towards and look forward to.
I'd assumed that on day one in the game. I'd have one or two basic wallpapers and floors available, if that.
Yeah the keybind is a cheat option that's disabled by default. The assumption is that if you enable the keybinding, you are deliberately choosing to skip all the progression mechanics and get straight to decorating.
The way you're intended to access it is through the purchaseable catalogs like normal. I recommend checking out the FAQ for more information on the progression mechanics for the mod.
Oh! Well, now I'm embarrassed. I'm just used to opening things with keybinds, so it never occurred to me that I wasn't supposed to. I'm about to start a new save, so I'll do it the right way this time.
I don’t quite understand, I read the FAQ and saw the text “All custom catalogs that are registered with Happy Home Designer will work just fine”, what is “All custom catalogs that are registered with Happy home designer”? Where can I see this list? I ask because apparently Furniture Catalog No. 2 from SVE is not supported
There is no list. If a catalog is not compatible, it's up to the author of the mod who created the catalog to tag it as a catalog so that Happy Home Designer knows what it is. Otherwise, it has no way of telling the difference between a shop, a dresser, and a catalogue. More information can be found on this page. Most custom catalogues are compatible because they're tagged, but some may not be.
I've submitted the necessary changes to SVE, so the author is already aware of the issue and it should be fixed soonish.
Ah, I think I understand, I’m certainly a noob in modding, but I easily found the catalog file and changed the field to “CustomFields”: { "HappyHomeDesigner/Catalogue": "true" } and everything worked. Thanks!
For the life of me, I found the correct file and followed the instructions in the article, but I cannot get the change to work. There are two instances of "CustomFields" in the file; I've tried changing either and both, to no avail. What am I doing wrong?

And thank you for your mod, it makes decorating so easy <3
What did I do wrong?
Can you elaborate on this? I'm not sure what you mean.
Can you describe what you did, what you expected to happen, and what actually did happen?
Is there any video tutorial on how to use this mod by any chance? thank yuo
Thank you mod creator, You have reignited my desire to design SDV building interiors again!
