I found Blueprint book in the CJB item spawner, i tried using it inside my house but it doesnt do anything, did i do something wrong? or the item doesnt work at the moment?
It won't place the blueprint if any of the furniture would be obstructed by the map or other objects. (Excluding furniture.) You probably have something in the way that you need to remove before it will place.
Can any of these modded catalogues have furniture not included in the vanilla catalogues? Ex: desert festival furniture, island trader tropical furniture, penny's 14 heart event furniture, crane game furniture, etc. I have the architects catalogue and I don't see them but maybe there's a hidden config? If it is not yet possible then I ask you to consider adding that feature. If you want to make it fair maybe players could acquire the pieces first before they show up in the catalogue, like you have to have bought a desert chair to have it show up in the catalogue. Or have it only available in the end game catalogues? I love this mod, thank you for making it!
This mod intentionally does not alter the content of the catalogue. I believe that's out of scope for this mod, and will not be changing that any time soon. However, you may be interested in Better Furniture Catalogue, which adds options for the "missing" catalogue items and is completely compatible with Happy Home Designer.
Oh yay!! Thank you! Do you know if the missing items will be found by the native happy home search function? Or is it necessary to download Catalogue Filter - Continued as suggested by the Better Furniture Catalogue page?
The search function will search all items in the current catalogue tab. Some items are craftables and not furniture, and will appear in the craftables tab instead, which can be selected at the top of the menu.
Happy Home Designer replaces the catalogue UI entirely, so Catalogue Filter will have no effect on furniture catalogues while Happy Home Designer is installed. (Catalogue Filter will still affect shops and dressers, since Happy Home Designer doesn't mess with those.)
Please be patient! I have been busy and haven't had time to edit images for the mod page yet. The blueprint system allows you to save/load/share furniture layouts. You can access the menu by using the Blueprint Book, which can be purchased from Robin for 5000g.
i just lost an entire day of progress at the fair because when i clicked on the gear in the home designer menu, i got trapped in a loop of opening the generic mod config menu and couldn't get out of it. i was literally about to go to bed to save but i was looking at the furniture from the furniture catalog 2. i had to force stop the game to get out of it. probably the most infuriating thing i've ever experienced in a video game.
1. As noted in several places, this is a known issue with GMCM and is not directly related to Happy Home Designer.
2. Update your mods before complaining. The most recent version of happy home designer includes a workaround for this specific problem. It's also not a gear icon anymore, which is how I know you didn't update it.
Thank you for creating this mod! I've run into a little issue, When I open the directory and click on the settings in the top - right corner, once I enter the generic mod confi menu interface, I get stuck there. No matter which key I press (like E or esc), I can't go back(The Happy home designer configuration interface keeps flashing) so I have to quit the game and restart it. I've even tried changing the keys, but it didn't work.(╥_╥)
NO,I think it might be that this mod conflicts with the keys of [generic mod config menu]. I personally can't solve it, so I can only trouble the author to make some changes. (╥╯^╰╥)
This is a known bug with newer versions of GMCM that is unrelated to Happy Home Designer. You can switch to an older version of GMCM to fix the issue. To be clear, this is an issue with GMCM and must be fixed on their end. This issue is affecting a number of other mods as well, including Dynamic Reflections.
However, 2.4.0 does include a workaround for the issue until it's fixed on GMCM's end.
The S&S spell menu can be hidden using a hotkey, which I recommend doing when using a catalog. I haven't heard of a minimap mod, but if you can provide a link to it, I can look into adding specific support for it.
I do not plan to add built-in support for any more UI recolors. Vintage V2 and Overgrown were integrated into the base mod because they were the most popular recolors available when the mod was created. For other recolors, the UI assets for this mod are accessible to CP, and can be made to match by the recolor itself or an addon mod. (For more information, see the Information For Modders page.)
For Earthy Interface specifically, I would recommend changing the built-in skin option in this mod to Vintage V2, as the colors are very similar.
is this currently incompatible with fashion sense? I installed the mod and SMAPI kept crashing and the game wouldn't open. I removed fashion sense and it worked fine after.
I have issues with combining the catalogues. I have the most recent version installed of both Stardew, SMAPI and this mod and I am unable to combine the catalogues to the main one. In the FAQ it says you add the catalogues like adding bait to the fishing rod but nothing happens when I do this. Sure I can place the catalogue I want to use on top the main one but at this point I have roughly 10 different catalogues I want to add permanently. :( I tried doing this with the ones that got added in 1.6 (Joja, Junimo, Retro etc.).
Please read the FAQ more closely, your question is answered there. It is not possible to combine all catalogues, only the furniture & wallpaper catalogues and the happy home & collector's catalogues.
Why can't I combine the rare catalogues with anything? Due to the technical complexity involved, and the nature of the rare catalogues (and custom catalogues from other mods), this is not supported, and there are no plans to support it at the moment. However, this mod includes a new catalog that features the inventory from all rare catalogues, including custom catalogues that are registered with Happy Home Designer.

Am I missing something why this is not working?
