Does the paint bucket work on other AT paths? Maybe try reinstalling Alternative Textures altogether and see if that helps? Also check AT's settings and make sure that it's not set to random or anything.
Yes! Purchase the paint brush from Robin. Use the paint bucket to change one tile of a path. Then use the paint brush and right click on the changed tile to "pick up" the texture you want. Then you can hold the left mouse button down while using the paint brush and drag it across the tiles you want to change to "paint" the texture on to them. It only works for one kind of tile at a time. So if you have a lot cobblestone path you want to change, you can just "paint" over it with the paint brush, but if you have a mixed cobblestone and stepping stone path, you'll need to change one type, then the other.
Also, make sure that "random flooring" is turned off in the main settings for Alternative Textures, if you're getting random textures when putting down floor tiles. If you ever want to get a random effect, the spray paint can from Robin can do it, and the scissors are used to change the textures of animals.
originally got this to use another path in it but then I realized the stepping stone + cobblestone paths are an almost perfect color match for the vanilla stepping stone floor texture!!!!

Thanks for your inquiry. This is a content pack for Alternative Textures, so unless Alternative Textures has significantly changed the way it works, I don't think it needs to be updated. Is it giving you a flag in SMAPI when you load it up?
