    Immersive Family or Farmer's Children or Both?

    I've seen this question pop up a lot, despite it being addressed in the FAQ on the description page. So, let me clarify here.

    If your main goal is to have your kids leave the house as soon as possible and follow a schedule like regular NPCs, then go for Farmer's Children.

    If you've already installed Farmer's Children and your kids are now NPCs, it won't work with Immersive Family.

    However, if you're aiming for a more immersive gameplay experience, a full story-line from they are still babies to grown up kids, consider this:

    Start with Immersive Family and Immersive Unique Children Talk first, with these, you'll get events and dialogues for your children that you might still see something new for 2-3 in-game years.

    Once you've exhausted all the events from Immersive Family, then go ahead and add the Farmer's Children mod to turn them into real NPCs.

    Hey, I would like to know if there's different events if we divorce with two kids or if we have a child of one spouse, divorce them and have the second one with someone else?

      Thanks for updating, as there are 2 versions now (one the children will talk with portrait, another one in speech bubble for those without portrait mod), do you want to translate and send both versions to me? There are some differences in the lines and the codes (like children’s expressions, some dialogues are separated..). If yes, I will wait for you first.

    I don't have east scarp town, how do I continue the events without it?

      The event list is just the events that you can trigger and their trigger conditions. If you don't have certain mod, you just won't see their crossover events and dialogues, it won't affect anything else.

    Its saying there are no json files detected for both immersive children talk and unique children talk. i followed the description and copy and pasted the unique children talk file to mods folder and replaced it, but still doesn't work. Is there a way the steps to properly downloading these mods be a bit more specific? Like step by step

  8. Are cutscenes not working for anyone else? I only see the box of text for them speaking, but their sprites seem to have some sort of problem.

    For the smapi error in the current game:[game] Event '172420002' has character positions '21 5 0 farmer -19997 -19914 0 Caroline 20 5 0 Pierre 6 17 2 Lewis 6 19 0' which couldn't be parsed: required index 3 has value 'farmer', which can't be parsed as an integer.
    1. Additionally, I have already confusedly gone through some cutscenes this way without making an error log, as I believed it may have been a one-time thing. After this however, it seems there's an issue on my end. Is there any way to trigger or view them again? 
    2. Don't enable alternative texture toddler sprite because you are not using such mod. 

      Not sure about your other error lines, as I remember seeing someone saw this event without errors recently. Will check on my side again later.

      You can type debug ebi 172420002 on the console to view this event again
    3. Who is your spouse?

      Is this multiplayer game?
    4. Sorry for the late reply. This is a singleplayer game and my spouse is Sebastian. 
      I'm currently using Babies Take After Spouse, however. Is this not a mod that alters the children's sprites?
    5. Hello, I have disabled the alternative texture toddler sprite and tried to rerun the cutscene. Despite this, it does not seem to be running properly.
    6. Can you try removing the free love mod temporarily (don't save first), and use the debug ebi command to check the event again? Can the event play correctly?

      If you want to have multiple spouses, better use the actively maintained PolyamorySweet mod, I'm not sure how it affects Immersive Family, but at least I know some using this mod without these errors.
    7. Search for Alternative Texture, is a framework mod. The one you use is not an AT mod, it is CP mod. And please use either Babies Take After Spouse or immersive children (choose one only), because both mod will change the baby and toddler sprites.
    8. I have removed the free love mod temporarily as well as removed immersive children and edited the necessary config for this game for it, and the issue still persisting.
    9. I’m sorry but I’m not sure what has caused this. If you are interested, you may try this:

      You can send you save game to me via google drive, I can check whether it has the same problem on my side.

      Remove  all other mods temporarily, and see if the problem still happens. If no, add back some mod and try again, see if the problem is there, if no, add more again. This is the way we use to find out mod conflict (if there is any).

      If you don't mind me asking, how would I upload the save game to the google drive? Currently I removed all other mods and tried to run with the game, running into the same issue. I checked the smapi log once again and it seems to be an issue with the game itself(?) , the error code saying they couldn't find the 'farmer' integer/if one existed in the cutscene. I think the issue with the sprites may be something with the code trying to move them, at least in my game? I'm not sure.

      I've removed all the other mods, but now there seems to be an issue with the debug command? It says that the command is not present.

      Here is the current log with patch summary. At this time however, I have not yet updated to the latest version of the mod uploaded today. I will replace the previous mod and report back to see if there are any changes.

      According to your previous log, you have spouse rooms for Haley and Sebastian.

      According to the patch summary log, you don’t have a spouse but you have Haley as a roommate.

      And I noticed you have Free Love mod (to get multiple spouses / roommates) and platonic relationship mod (I’m not familiar with this, but according to their description, it may change a lot of marriage or roommate mechanic)

      So I wonder what is the full story of you farmer’s marriage/roommate relationships in your game, like who came to your house first, or how you proposed them (platonic mod has a few options), and I suspect the cause of you problem could be there.As immersive family events were coded for {{spouse}}, it won’t work if you save game doesn’t have anyone recognised by the game as a “spouse”, and if that is the case, no npc name will be stated in {{spouse}}, like stating as 21 5 0 instead of Sebastian 21 5 0… for the npc placement, which consequently affecting everyone else after it. This is what those red lines look like to me.

      Again, I haven’t used the platonic before and I’m not sure whether this is a known issue for that mod, or it is interacting with other mod like free love, or there is other cause not related to that mod. Maybe you can check their description page or comments sections to see if there is any similar report.

      For the events of my game, I initially married Sebastian with a Mermaid Pendant first before later inviting Haley in as a roommate with the Friendship Bracelet.

      I have downloaded the Free Love Unofficial for a test save previously, after getting married twice, Seb first and then Haley, and the game recognized Haley as the main spouse, and this is consistent with what I read about Free Love in 1.5.6- The last one you give them the pendant, they will be your main spouse (that appears in the events). IIRC, the old Free Love mod allows you to change your main spouse by giving them the pendant again (you may double check the old mod page description). If you can do that, I wonder it would help if you give Seb the pendant again (to set them as the main spouse again). I'm just guessing, perhaps when you gave the bracelet to Haley, she became your main but she is not a spouse.

      I attempted to give Sebastian the mermaid pendant as instructed, but it seemed not to work. I tested the debug code just in case and the issue persisted. I then attempted to download PolyamorySweet to see if it would fix the problem, as then I could select a main spouse. After going through issues with spouse rooms displaying properly in that mod (although from the posts on PolyamorySweet page this seems to be an ongoing issue), I made Sebastian the main spouse and ran the debug code. Unfortunately, the problem seems to be persisting regardless.

      Did you double check the description page of free love? It has stated:

      To switch which spouse is your official spouse (necessary for certain things, including which spouse room and which spouse patio to show), give a spouse a bouquet (it won't be consumed).

      Try this again if you are using Free Love.

      I downloaded the platonic and free love unofficial mods and I managed to replicate your problem, and fixed it after that.

      So we can confirm that if someone propose a mermaid pendant to npc A first and give the friendship bracelet to npc B later, it will set the main "spouse" as B (free love mechanic), who is a roommate by code (platonic mod mechanic), and it will cause the npc placement issue with in the events with spouse.

      You can fix this by giving a bouquet to your real spouse, like Seb in your case. However, you have to sleep one day for it to take effect, so do the debug ebi eventid the next day.

    For some reason event 5 kid1 is just not triggering for me despite it being 7 days after event 4 and my child is now 29 days old (birth at 11 winter year3 and its currently spring 12 year4, or do I have to wait tomorrow?)

    I'm not very bright when it comes to config and things so can you please explain it in more detail on how to set up the children's names? (if its not too much)  I've read the description a million times and the only I thing understood  is setting up the player's title and the spouse's title. T.T

      Type you children's name there. You can type them anytime before they start talking (toddler stage).

      This is the config for the speech bubble version. If you want to use the portrait version, get the portrait version.

    event 4 doesn't work for me, because when my child was 16 days old, there was a festivalI don't know how much this affects the event, but can it be solved somehow? it just doesn't work at the bus stop (sorry my bad english)

      Can you elaborate what do you mean it does not work? It did not trigger on that day? If yes, you may trigger it the next day.
