   I don't know if it's intended but the calendar still shows their birthdays when you hover on them.

      That seems impossible, it certainly doesn't for me. You must have some other mod that is overriding this one.

      Ah I see.
      
      It might have been due to Show Birthdays being installed.
      I mainly use this mod to display NPCs on the calendar who share the same birthday.
      
      It's okay if you won't add compatibility with this mod, I'll just remove that when using yours.

   I like this idea. Do you happen to know or suspect if it works with mod-added NPCs or should I just try it and see?

      yes it works fine with any NPC
