Hi! Do you think this mod could work with the already existing camel mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/13189

I'll test that out for sure and let you know if they look compatible. If not, I can try to rename some stuff so they don't have any overlaps that confuse the game.

EDIT: Definitely confuses the game a bit in its current state. Turned all my camels into cows lol. I'll see what I can do to fix this. Might be as simple as just a slight name change in the code.

I had this for prospurrity! My cats turned into cows. Could that be a BFAV issue?

That’s a common BFAV bug from what I’ve heard! For me, having both camel mods in my game (and installing them at the same time) meant that these camels wouldn’t load - the game said that camels already existed, so I guess the other one took priori (for some reason). I’m not a coder but from what I understand, it sounds like if BFAV can’t find the category of an animal it turns it into whatever the “default” animal is for where it lives (cows for barns, I assume chickens for coops). I imagine that’s what happened with the camels if the other mod is taking camel priority.

That all said, I finally had these camels load into my game! I haven’t had the chance to test them, but they officially show up in the shop and seen like they can be bought properly alongside the other camels. I changed the category name (“vcamel”, since they’re a variety of types) and edited the baby image name to match. I’ll pop back in once I’ve actually tested them more, but for anyone with a similar issue it might be worth the try.

Of course! Like I said, I'm not a coder so I don't know if there's a better way to go about it like setting up some sort of condition for if both mods are installed (or if it'd even be possible to just "add" both to a camels category so both product sets drop or something), but it's been working for me so far to do it that way!
