So uh... You have to do some event or something like that to unlock the swords or you unlock 'em all at the same time you unlock the guild? Cuz they aren't showing here :\
After playing with the mod for a little bit, I have some feedback. Many of the weapons are set to have -50% to -100% knockback (some may have even been higher.) This creates a problem as it means that enemies continue to move towards the PC even during attack animations, meaning that using the majority of the weapons is unfeasible. It also— in my opinion at least— means that there's none of the slight stun that the weapons had in DC2.
My suggestion would be to set all of the weapons to a minimum of 0% knockback, or even slightly higher. This would both imitate the stun effect from the games, and make the weapons actually feasible to use. Currently, I've been unable to use them as they simply leave you far too open to enemies damaging you.
It's always a pleasure to see another Dark Cloud fan in the wild! If only the studio was able to use our love for the series as the means for a new entry.
Grew up with both the Original and DC2. That duology deserves a third that has long been overdue. Will be using the good old Chronicle 2 again as my ultimate weapon. Thank you very much for putting a smile on this Dark Cloud vet and other fans of the series who play Stardew too.
Of course, Thank you for the support! I'm working on spheda clubs right now which will be the next mod, after that the hammers, then the wrenches, and finally (and reddit brought this up because I completely forgot) xiao's slingshots, so maybe that gives a dc1 vet something to look forward to as well! :D
Haven't played SV modded in forever, I come to nexus to get more mods and here they are, the swords and the sphedas....... I am in love with you DC1 and 2 make me insane I am so looking forward to the rest you're planning on making <3 (edit oops sorry unfamiliar with nexus comments and replied in the wrong spot </3)
Love DC2, it's probably my top PS2 game! I named my mod after the title theme and constantly take inspo from it. So underrated. Seeing this brings so much joy, thank you <3
I try to think of most of them as super late game weapons because the formula I used to price them made most of them extremely expensive, but it follows pretty closely behind their average damage rate which is based on their actual attack stats from DC2.
