Small problem. Sometimes when it displays the location of the NPC part of the string is hidden behind the energy bar when the string is long enough. If you could fix this that would be great.
There's not really much I can do to fix that unfortunately, as I can't control the names of the built in/mod locations. Not sure if I can make it wrap to multiple lines, but I can make an attempt
If there's no arrow and some text with a location, it means the npc is not in the same location as you are. In your case, it means Haley/Emily is in their house (called "HaleyHouse") and that's where you have to go to find them. I can only display the arrow if you're in the same location as the NPC unfortunately
Yes, this will totally work for every NPC, even those added by mods. I use a bunch of npc mods myself, and there hasn't really been any problems I've seen so far. It shouldn't matter if you've met the npc yet, as this mod just pulls the entire list of npcs from the game at startup.
To clarify, there isn't a requirement to have a minimap mod at all, or that a mod needs to contribute to a minimap mod. I was simply giving an example of the limitations of the mod and why I made it in the first place. I'm pretty sure those mods won't have any issues with my mod.
Let me know if you have any more questions, thanks for using Villager Compass! :)

Also, does this work for mods that don't have the mini-map, such as Soffton or Mineral Town?
Thanks.
