I really like the idea of the mod and I did replace the 'farmers' children files with those of this mod but sadly it doesn't appear to work? Immediately after I installed it I could no longer talk to my children or give them a gift.
Thanks for making this! I just put the files into the original Farmer's Children folders and it works fine (not sure about if it works with CP). I really appreciate not having to go through and make edits myself! :)
Ok I really like that you have tweaked it to be more moderate but I have encountered an issue when I check Smapi Log parser:

since top two comments are experiencing problems, asking to see if anyone other than op has gotten this mod to work? haven't installed it yet but would love to use this mod if it works smoothly.
This mod was originally not meant to be "plug-and-play," but instead meant to be installed manually by replacing existing files in your Farmer's Children install. I now know this is a pretty unintuitive way to do things, but I had no experience with modding and initially created this mod just as a supplement to my own game.
I'm currently working on fixing the file up. Hopefully it should be usable with Content Patcher soon!

SMAPI states it is a 1.1.0 version I have tried 3 times but the same result.
