I love this mod's concept a lot! It would be even more amazing if all the minerals we get from geodes could be tumbled as well. Finally a solution to the stacks of geodes abandoned in late game. I hope you're doing well, thank you for sharing this mod! I'll be tracking this just in case you update to 1.6 <3
I've loved this mod a long time and miss it now that I've come back to a new game update and new save files. Thank you for the great time I had with this one, I completely forgot it was a mod. If you ever updated I'd be over the moon <3
An amazing idea! It has become a must-have for my modded playthroughs, I can't wait to see other minerals as well making geodes not entirely useless late game.
This is a really nice addition. If I had any issues, it's ease of access. Yes, you need a diamond and batteries, but LV 5 mining is really easy. If you want to consider balancing it, a few thoughts I had:
Higher level reward
Recipe get sent from another character with high relationship, like Clint or Dwarf
Purchase the recipe for a high cost (Maybe desert trader)
Purchase the recipe from the Dwarf (Feel thematically correct and makes it quite the reward)
I appreciate the input! My primary aim was to line up unlocking this with Level 5 Mining because that's when you can grab the Gemologist perk (feels very good!)
Diamonds are pretty easy to get, but in play-testing, the earliest you can craft this is by purchasing the battery pack from the Traveling Cart. This allows players who plan it out to build one or two fairly consistently in Spring of Y1, but prevents them from building out a bunch till they get through a Summer storm or two.
I also didn't want it to be gated behind too much because the early quality boosting helps give you early options for iridium quality loved gem gifts for a few NPCs and liked for most others.
Does this also get added if you're higher than level 5? Can't say I've seen it being buildable yet. I reckon it could also be due to the folder structure being Mods->Rock Tumbler->JA/PFM, rather than the JA and PFM being in Mods directly, although I would prefer not to have a manifest.json in my mods folder
I've corrected the issue and ran a quick test to make sure. I tried simply having a singular manifest for the JSON Assets and the PFM pieces, but I should have tested that before the upload. The newest version 1.0.1 should be in working order now.
Hey, I don't think you uploaded the patch properly. After downloading, SMAPI still mentions 1.0.1 is available and the rock tumber is not available in game still.
Ah I noticed that I shouldn't just have mods -> Rock Tumbler -> 2 associated folders. If I just slap those two folders in my mod folder it works fine. Figured it would work like some other mods where you can keep it the modname folder. Regardless, it works now!
I love the idea of this mod and downloaded it. I was able to make the Rock Tumblers after the recent update, but I am unable to put any of the gems into them. I have all of the required mods. I'll restart the game and try again, but none of the gems want to go in the machine.

Other than that, love the work. Have fun!
