I really want to use this mod! It looks super cool, but when I try to run stardew through smapi it says it was skipped because the mod isn't a smapi mod. Is there any way to fix this?

Make sure you have SMAPI and Content Patcher then scroll down to the files marked as compatible with those! (I've yet to notice a change in the dialogue, but SMAPI gave no error messages after I switched to using the right file.)
Hi!! So, i have a problem. I tried dowloading the doki doki compatible file, but even tho i have cp i downloaded the normal file. After overloading the original Elliott.xnb file with the new one i couldn't open any save files anymore, since it said that the "Character/elliott" file was unexisting. So i putted the backup elliott.xnb file in the character folder overloading the last one, but it still didn't work. It just opens the game, but when i try to enter in a save it just goes back to the title screen over and over. I even tried to cancel the Elliott.xnb and then add the backup one but still nothing. Could someone help?
Hey I had the same problem but I was able to fix it. I'm using steam so idk if that applies to u but i went into my steam library and right clicked stardew valley and went into properties, then went into local files and clicked verify integrity of game files and hopefully that'll restore the original elliot file
Just wanted to say thank you for making this mod!! It's one of my favorites, it adds so much more to Elliott's character! I really enjoy how you wrote him to be always musing about something, it feels true to his character and it's cheesy in a sweet way. I'm currently also using the marriage dialogue exp. as well ^___^
