the base mod should still work, but i've made an unofficial update here with the new 1.6 cats + a DNE bin option for anyone who wants it!! i'll take it down if asked, of course

Also, it probably doesn't work the same way (with cat popping up) when accessed via Chests Anywhere I'm guessing. Hmm.
Edit: I finally figured out why the cat was not showing up for me—and learned about a whole new (to me) way to toss things into the shipping bin! I did not know you can stand near the bin and click to _throw_ whatever shippable thing your farmer's holding into the bin and That's when the cat animation plays. 🐈 All this time I've only shipped stuff by actually opening the bin by right-clicking on it or thru CA/BC. (I think this also means that this mod can work with other cute character bin mods that use the lid-opening to trigger the animation. Or for another cat! 😻)
Was wondering if anyone knew how it prioritizes this shipping bin over shipping bins in other mods. Theres a mod I like that decorates structures on the farm (including the shipping bin) I tried deleting everything that was shipping bin related in the mod, but it still got covered somehow :( I LOVE THE CAT THOOO and wan it so bad for bf!!
If you open your mods folder, everything loads in alphabetical order from the top first to the bottom. If you want a mod to cover up a different one, just relabel the name of its folder so that it's after the one you want to cover up. For example, you might have:
[CP] If I fits I ships <- rename this to have a z at the front [CP] Retexture buildings
So that it's [CP] Retexture buildings z[CP] If I fits I ships <- now this will load after the retexture buildings, so it'll cover the other shipping bin mod
This mod is SO adorable! My biggest problem with it is being worried I'll accidentally sell something I want to keep because I'm too busy watching the cat grab items instead of paying attention to what I'm putting in the box. lol!
