shame this mod is so outdated, i wouldve imagined this idea to be more popular enough to get an update/revival mod in the last 5 years, but apparently not. if bro ever decides to update them to json files thatd be pretty awesome
NO longer works! Can we please get an update? I get this error that the mod can't load " because it contains files, but none of them are manifest.json."
This isn't a bug exactly, but I noticed the trees don't occupy the same tile as they appear in, they occupy the tile to the left. This means that for the tree to look nice, there needs to be two adjacent free tiles (one for object collision and one for the tree to appear in). The funny upshoot of this is that you can put trees in beds and other objects, as long as the tile to the left is free (which has definitely been fun to play around with).
Is it possible to fix the trees so that you don't need to have the tile to the left clear to place it?
(sorry for such a late reply!) If i remember correctly, this is due to the entire tree being 3 squares wide, but the trunk only being 1 square wide. In order to change it i'd have to redo the entire sprite, or redo the code which at the time was beyond my capabilities. I'm in the process of updating my entire game to match the current smapi and sv versions, so hopefully when it's all up to date i can get back into modding and see if i can find a workaround for this.
I'm looking into it! Custom Farming seems to be the best option, but i'm unsure if it'll allow something so big. Quick testing shows it can't, but I'll look into a little deeper and maybe check to see if i can make something that overrides the base furniture file so it's compatible with Furniture Anywhere, with a customfurniture replacement of the overridden pieces of course.
Ok hi, so I'm a bit confused. How do I make put this mod into the game? I know that sounds like a stupid question but do I put it in a certain content folder? It doesn't work in the mods folder
(I only just realised it doesn't pop up and tell you what mods are required sorry about that) For this to work you need a mod called Customfurniture. there's a link to it in the "Required Mods" section of this one. Once you have that installed, there will be a folder inside it called "Furniture". Simply drop the Housetree folder into that one, and Customfurniture will do the rest! Customfurniture also needs Customelementhandler, which will be linked on its page as well. Sorry about that, i should have made it pop up with the download in the first place.
Thank you! If I have time (and permission) I may make a set up of those! I intend to have a stab at the fruit trees at some point as well. I have other furniture packs that need my attention right now, but I will definitely come back to this and refine/add to it in the future!
