For anyone coming here to say "it's broken"
[SMAPI]       - NPC Map Locations Extra Config 1.0.0 because it's no longer compatible. Please check for a newer version at https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/16236 or https://smapi.io/mods

Going to need to wait on an update :)

Literally all of these options are available in the original mod -- push "tab" while the map is displayed.

Doesn't work. Changing "immersiveness" setting does nothing, map always shows all NPCs.

The Immersiveness setting has some documentation when you have GMCM installed, but essentially:
1 - villagers are always visible, using the heart level setting can restrict who is visible.
2 - villagers you've talked to today are visible
3 - villagers you haven't talked to today are visible

    Neat!

How difficult is it to add coverage for additional NPCs? Doesn't seem to work OOB with Yagisan's mod.

Edit: Oh, looking at your screenshot, you obviously have mods that add many NPCs. So, maybe I installed something incorrectly.

Yea, I just tried this out with SVE, riverside, eastscarpe, jasper, and jessie and juliet npcs, and they seem to work as expected. In fact, it's unclear exactly what Yagisan's mod changes (maybe some other NPCs I've not tested don't work correctly with NPC Map Locations, and it provides their missing location info) because all those NPCs I mentioned above appear in the same location whether or not I have Yagisan's mod installed.

What behavior are you seeing that appears incorrect? If you let me know what behavior you are experiencing and what you are expecting, I might be able to figure out what the issue is. Are you expecting an NPC to be hidden but you see them on your map? If so, with the default config for this mod, NPCs will appear on the map if you have ever spoken to them previously in your save game.

Sorry, it was just Yagisan's that was overriding everything, and displaying regardless. Once disabled, everything works as intended, just sans the few NPCs not covered in the original NPC Locations mod.

Can you give me the names of the NPCs that Yagisan's mod makes work? I can probably make this mod compatible with Yagisan's if I can test this particular case.

I will chip in, I only noticed one difference. Without Yagi's mod Lavril appears to only have half a head on the map, very hard to see. With his mod it's normal icon. If I notice anything else I will report :)

      Thanks for reporting that.

Lavril doesn't show up on the map when unmet when I just tested now, as expected. And from what you've said, Lavril shows up after having met her (and head is positioned correctly with Yagisan's, and positioned incorrectly without Yagisan's. That's to be expected since Yagisan's updates map positioning data for NPCs).

Sounds like that NPC works as expected with this mod. Let me know if I'm missing anything about this NPC.
