I don't know if this is something you have answered before here (if you have, feel free to ignore this). While using your recolor, the booksheld inside the classroom at the top left corner is missing, and instead just shows a blank black rectangle. Is there any way to fix this, or is it a problem you're already trying to fix? I contacted Xiddav first about it and they said it's because your recolor is missing the bookshelf, and that's why it appears that way.
Thank you for the report! This is likely something on my end. I will work on getting this fixed as soon as possible. I am a bit busy with work currently until next week, but I should have free time to work on my mods after my contract ends. I tend to do my modding in bursts so this will be prioritized with some other issues I have to work on. :3
Hello! The creator of SSS has not made a recolour extension of this mod. Unfortunately I do not plan on tackling any SSS recolours for my mods as that would be a lot of work, and would require me to make a separate mod essentially for those recolours with how SSS functions. I give anyone who wants to create a SSS recolour of my mods permission to do so though. c:
I'm sorry I couldn't find the bug panel. Please tell me if this has to do with the tilesheets or if you have a fix for this issue, but the middle spot in front of the school door hasn't been colored the same (I can't figure out how to add an image it won't let me, but it's like a cream colored stone tile instead of the brown color that surrounds it, and it doesn't look like it's from the original mod). Thank you for making this mod it's so cute :)
Hi! Sorry for removing the Bug Report tab! A lot of issues people come across while using this mod are usually not caused by my own mod so I prefer to talk out the issues in the comments to assist/direct more efficiently. Does it kind of look like this? (attached image) If it does, you might have the old version of this mod installed along with the new one. If that is the case try deleting both the old and new mod and then reinstalling the new one again. The old mod folder might be called "Seasonal Medieval Little Red School House" instead of "Medieval Little Red School House" like the current version. If this isn't the case, could you please attach an image for me to see a visual of the issue? I added a picture to show how to add an image to your comment, you just need to upload it to an image site like IMGUR first so you can paste the URL. I use a program called ShareX that uploads my images automatically, if something like that would help you.
hi! im having the same issue and have the newest mod installed, but this is what the front looks like and im not sure how to remove the brown porch and just have the stepping stones! https://gyazo.com/bae472a9d451dab8a4b1747e2516b6ab
Hi! So I haven't been playing in a hot minute because of irl stuff, but I think Xiddav has updated their mod and tilesheet again..
This is what I have done as a super quick rough fix to cater my preferences:
So the first thing I did was put "none" in the config option "Playground Expansion", that made the playground revert back to the smaller size:
For the bush clipping through the lamp post at the back, I installed Map Editor mod. To enable it you press F10, then you can right click on a selected tile to copy and paste that tile essentially to another spot on a map. So I took the tiles from the lamp on the right side and slapped them onto the lamp on the left. I used one of the bushes from Nano's Decorative Tree Furniture mod to test so I don't know for sure if this actually fixed the issue, but if I discover it hasn't then I will post a different fix at some point.
and finally for the stone pathing issue, I deleted all of the stone pathing in Xiddav's Tilesheet in photoshop. This will probably cause conflict with other mods that Xiddav has created be warned, but it works to remove the stone path under the school house. I also deleted the random grass squares Xiddav added at some point. I know they released an Earthy fix for it, but other recolour users are still suffering, and I don't think the grass tiles are really necessary.. Here is a ZIP with the edited tilesheets, just extract the folder then replace the images inside of the mod folder: [CP] Xiddav's Tilesheet > assets
Link to Google Drive ZIP
This won't fix the issue with the missing original cobblestone path because I think that it's an issue with the map that Xiddav patches into the town, if that makes sense, but you can always lay down your own pathing. **Use the Map Editor mod to change the tiles manually**
Let me know if there are any other bits you are unhappy with and I can do some fiddling. I haven't been playing for awhile, but I want to have a nice aesthetically pleasing game to come back to when I do as well. c:
firstly, thank you SO much for the help! appreciate you immensely. i switched out the tilesheets, and this is what i see now - https://gyazo.com/46ba15b14d8e4548694e883a605bb9ce the cobblestone seems to be intact but there's still that one brown square and then the 2 black tiles :( also, what are those static machines by my playground? i dont see those on yours (oh nvm i see, it's included in xiddavs tilesheet)
Oh my! I will do some more fiddling! Maybe the intact schoolhouse is different than the run down one which I tested with. The machines are definitely part of Xiddav's Tilesheet. I can also see about removing those too. c:
Definitely the way to do it! It looks like Xiddav used the stone path tiles to replace the default grass on the Back layer, so unfortunately deleting the stone path doesn't work for the fixed school house :c The same issue arises with deleting the grass tiles too - I just didn't notice it immediately because I was using Soft Slow Season's Xiddav Tilesheet patch. The best way is definitely to use the Map Editor mod to fix up the mess. Hopefully Xiddav will change their maps in the future with enough feedback. I think deleting the little machines from the tilesheets should be safe to do though. I do not think those are on a Back layer so the grass should be safe underneath.
No problemo! Also just to add on my solutions earlier, but instead of leaving the config option for the playground blank, write in "none", otherwise it resets each load
Hello! Unfortunately the green patch is with Xiddav's original mod. They use a custom tilesheet to edit the terrain map in that area, so recolors do not detect those tiles and change them appropriately. I already reported the issue to Xiddav, but you could try providing them with feedback as well. No plans for Juliet's house, but I will add it to my mod projects list since it seems like it would be relatively easy to do. c:
Ok I'll post on Xiddav's mod page as well Thank you for considering Juliet's house I really like the Juliet mod but the house seems off since I have everything else converted to medieval style
It should work with the Lazy version already since it targets Xiddav's Tilesheets rather than the Little Red School House mod itself. Have you already tried testing them together? It's possible that I might need to change the dependencies if they currently don't work together.
Yes, they can't work together on my end. I downloaded Little Red School House - Lazy version -9695-1-1-8-1692740264. zip, smapis said. "Medical Little Red School House 3.2.0 because it requires mods which are not installed (Xiddav. Little Red School House)." But I downloaded Little Red School House and its additional files, and Little Red School House will display normally during the game, But not beautified
Hi. Do you know if this work with the 1.1.8 version of the little red school mod? I install both of them in my mods folder but it still show up as the original school, not your remake medieval version.
Thank you for making this!! I wanted to download the schoolhouse mod but I was holding off since it wouldn't match the medieval aesthetic. Would you ever consider making a medieval reskin for the Hat Shop Restoration mod??
It is a very cute mod! I would definitely consider it :) I am currently playing other games right now but when I come back to Stardew Valley (which I always do because I am addicted) I will add it to my project ideas list!

PLEASE DELETE THE OLD VERSION IN YOUR MODS FOLDER BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW UPDATE.
If you encounter any issues, please try deleting the mod and reinstalling it first.
Feedback is always appreciated! Your lovely comments do not go unnoticed. ♡
Please let me know if you find any issues. ♡
