Hi! I was wondering if you would be able to make this mod more like your other mod "Otter's Additional Barn Animals" where we can buy the different breeds from Marnie, instead of replaceing our vanilla cows or doing AT? Also, Is there a version for AT or does it all just use the same file? I know on the description page, you mention "Adoptskin" but I think that's broken in 1.6? The file does only say (CP) that's why I was wondering if there was supposed to be a separate (AT) version. Thanks! :)
I'm debating on making a version where you can just buy from marnie if I find the time but currently I have a lot of other things going on. There is an AT version though!
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but im entirely new to modding the game and i was wondering if there's a way for me to add multiple of the same type of animal? Like have the white cow be a chance of Friesian or Wagyu?
yes! use the alternate textures version! thank you can just go up toy your cows with the scissors and change it to whichever ones you want! hope this helps!
Marnie's cows are using the sprites for calves instead of fully grown cows. Also, I don't know if it's a bug only on my game due to another mod, but the calves either seem to be slightly floating or they aren't aligned with their shadows.
the update added shadows under the sprites. I have to go back and remove them but it will be in the future. As for the Calves at Marnies, I have no idea. it could be that Marnie just has calves out? it changes periodically for me.
I want to only change the sheep to pink alpacas - I want the rest of the animals to be unaffected because I have other mods changing those. Is this possible?
If you use the alternative textures version you can change your sheep individually to whatever you want by just using the paintbrush tool! super easy. If you want to keep using this version of the mod you will have to open the generic mod menu and set the sheep to pink alpacas and which ever other animals to the mods your using for them. If your not using the generic mod menu its a bit more tricky but possible. =)
Hello, I noticed that in the most recent update, the zip file is titled "Otter's Coop Animals". The mod folder itself is correctly titled "Otter's Barn Animals", it's just the zip that's wrong. Love your mods!!
there should be? it's in the config for me and the others testing this mod. Do you have cows and goats on your game file that it wont let you edit? because I just downloaded the link from here to make sure there's no issues and all the animals are there. Thanks for letting me know whats going on. I will look into it but I have no idea why this is happening for you.
Hey! I'm in love with your mods, definitely looking forwards to the pet one. Anyways, I chose Friesian for the white cow, and for some reason it replaces the babies with the Wagyu model and not the Friesian one. I was able to fix the code, but I thought I'd let you know.
Update! Thanks for your interest! because of this comment and others like it there is now an alternative Textures version available here! thank you for letting me know you would like one as it motivated me to make it available!
I absolutely love all of your farm animal mods as someone who works on a farm irl. I feel like I have my Buff Orpington and American Pekin in the game, along with my horse. But I own suffolk sheep, and for some reason none of the sheep skins will work :( It only will use the brown alpalca or the default sheep. Everything else works fine. Is there a known fix to this?
the sheep you keep getting as a brown alpaca or default; is it a baby? I noticed there is a typo in the extension for that one so I fixed that. re-download the mod and it should work fine now. =)
