Hey, don't know if you're still active here or in Stardew but I wanted to reach out to you. I'm working to update the old SVE furry patches but not being an artist, I wanted to see if I can add your sprites into it in various places with proper credits and links.
I am not active currently, and absolutely feel free to edit any of my mods so long as you credit the people who made them. I don't care if you credit me or not lol, but some of the other assets require permission.
I am currently developing a furry business sim that I started while I was waiting for 1.6 and it's consuming my life now hahaha
I really like the sprite work you did for this mod but I do seem to be having a little trouble getting it to work? I installed the latest version of SVE, then then the anthro mod, the anthro conversion, the hotfix and then this mod, as your description instructions said to. When I load up the game everything works fine but the SVE characters are not your versions, they are instead the versions from the anthro conversion and hotfix mods.
SMAPI gives me a notice that it cant load your mods with this message:
Unique SDVE Furries 1.2.0 because it requires mods which aren't installed (FlashShifter.StardewValleyExpandedALL).
And I'm not quite sure what that means because I download the full SVE file and dont delete anything or move it around. Any idea whats happening?
1.6 changed how the game grabs sprite sheets and as such, SDVE has a different layout then it used to. A direct copy is no longer possible from the old mod and would require a fair bit of rework for new file placments.
I'd really like to install this to complete my Starfur experience, but when I installed and replaced the files it broke SMAPI to where it couldn't load SVE at all. I'm suspecting I'm doing something wrong :P
I got the Anthro Characters Continued, SVE Furry Conversion Patch and the Hotfix, in that order, and the game works just fine with them. What's the next step from here?
The mod isn't a patch, it's standalone. Just drag and drop my file into your mods folder and it'll automatically replace other people's sprites if it comes after them in the load order. (or just in general 99% of the time, if you don't run other reskins it will forcibly replace SVE's stuff automatically)
That said, it sounds like you dropped my files into a different mod and hit "replace", so it definitely broke that mod and you need to redownload it.
OOPS. Yeah, that's definitely what happened. I assumed you should replace the sprites, but okay, good to know. I'll install it properly next time my friends and I play! Thank you!
This is some awesome work! I've not actually updated my SVE since the old furry conversion mod and various hotpatches were out of date. Looking forward to seeing more of your work! I too vote for skunk Andy :3
I was curious about the mod install order for your mod with the others, since I noticed the old hotfix by RTgrl is a requierment, and it needs newer seasonal tile sheets to see the highlands outpost.
I remembered another thing that bothered me! For whatever reason marlons shop portraits are human and in some of the heart events Claire's sprites revert to human. I'd fix it myself but i have no idea how :')
So anthro character ideas! I'm surprised no one commented. I'm unsure who should be a skunk (forgot the other one's name, they're the forager who wears blue jeans and white shirt.) But one of them would be a skunk. Skunks are shy creatures (hence why they evolved their spray.) But are also known for foraging. If sophia weren't to be a skunk, an axolotl would be a fit. They're known to be social creatures, but often get sad when left alone. They live away from everyone, so it'd explain their anxiety if they were to be an axolotl.
Edit: Nevermind! I still would like to suggest the skunk idea, but I just did not have that previous patch. I thought it was a bug fix to some mod that didn't exist, not a mod that added the textures itself.

(edit: although if it does screw something up you can always just put mine after other SVE modifications and it should fix it)
