Hi! I really appreciate your work to maintain the mod! When I am using the experimental mod (which is for loading other replacement mods) I encounter this error:

[Content Patcher] 'LittleNPCs Babysitter' has multiple patches with the 'Exclusive' priority which load the 'Characters/Dialogue/FirstLittleNPC爱丽丝-6764425515480407150' asset at the same time (LittleNPCs Babysitter > AFirstChild Dialogue Shy, LittleNPCs Babysitter > AFirstChild Dialogue ZLanguage). None will be applied. You should report this to the content pack author.

is it conflict with other mods or is it a problem within the mod itself?

Hi! I am not very experienced with Stardew modding so I am unsure what this could mean. I am also not sure if this mod has potentially been made obsolete in any way. As far as I know SMAPI/whatever the mod loader is called, should translate obsolete terms built for older versios to their newer
      equivalents.

I can say that this mod is not a replacer or a patch, and it should be used without the original Babysitter mod.

I'm wondering if there's potentially some language/translation conflict?

I checked the assets folder and content.json and found that they actually support the language in which I am playing the game (zh), the problem seem to be the content of these two dialogues [AFirstChild Dialogue Shy] and [AFirstChild Dialogue ZLanguage] in content.json, SMAPI doesn't know which to load so actually neither of them show up in the game and the child ask me to install a content pack for them. I tried to modify the conditions in those patches to make the dialogue-zh.json work but it still doesn't load anything, not sure what happened exactly...I'd probably try the mod in a new save in english next time, thank you for replying anyway!

Since I don't speak Chinese, I can't tell you why it might be happening in the files itself. My best guess is that the code that handles the translations is a little confused and is trying to load the English dialogue and the Chinese dialogue at the same time. You could try and create a version of the file with Dialogue Shy removed, though I'm not sure if it will help.

Hi, I had a couple questions regarding this mod, since I was checking what was out there for making your children more realized characters.

    1. It should in theory work with the anthro conversion mod for children, right? (That being this: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/9413 ) I would just need to do the steps you've described for changing the sprites.

    2. What are all the other mods I would need to download as a prerequisite to get this working, just to be sure? Needing LittleNPCs is obvious of course, and I have SMAPI and Content Patcher already. Would I need to download the original Babysitter mod as well? Do I need to download Custom NPC Fixes?

    3. Does the mod account for Leo joining the town? I ask cause I think the original mod may predate 1.5 so I can imagine something like characters clipping through each other while penny is teaching all the children, for example.

      1. If the mod doesn't do anything but change the sprites, yes, it will work. It *should* even work if you just install it alongside this mod, but only if the mod only alters the sprites. I know for fact that Babysitter works fine with custom child sprites.

      2. You only need LittleNPCs and the required core mods. You do not need the original Babysitter or CUstomNPCFixes *unless* you're using a version other than the most recent one.

      3. I've used this mod alongside Leo fine  with the Community Center Reimagined patch to make him go to school alongside Leo. I don't know how it works in base game, but presumably the system is similar.

    [SMAPI]    Skipped mods
    [SMAPI]    --------------------------------------------------
[SMAPI]       These mods could not be added to your game.
[SMAPI]       - LittleNPCs Babysitter 1.0.0 because it requires mods which aren't installed (spacechase0.CustomNPCFixes).
[SMAPI]       - Toddler Sprite Version (EXPERIMENTAL)-15493-1-0-1710019464 because it's an empty folder.

The dependency has now been removed. Mod should function as intended. If not, downgrading and installing CustomNPCFixes should still work.

Please let me know if you experience any issues with this mod whatsoever after the game update! I don't see any reason why it *shouldn't* work, since this mod is so light, but regardless! Thank you.

Does this mod work with babies take after spouse? I have children with victor but whenever I add this mod they go back to the default look.

Check bug reports for a solution. This happens because of an issue with how I set up this mod.
What you can do to fix this: (You have a few options)

-Go into the Babysitter folder. Open 'assets', open 'images', and delete the two spritesheets labelled 'toddler1' and 'toddler2'. This MAY throw an error in SMAPI about missing spritesheets, but it should not disrupt the function of the normal mod as the game should just load the vanilla sprites instead.

-Swap the names of the 2 spritesheets. 'toddler1' should be changed to 'toddler2' and vice versa. This will give your children the correct vanilla sprites.

-Upload your own custom spritesheets. These are not hard to create, there are a lot of customizable toddler mods on Nexus and they should either work standalone without needing to be put into the Babysitter folders (but you should delete the toddler1 and toddler2 spritesheets present in Babysitter for them to load in) OR, ALTERNATIVELY, you can  rename the relevant PNG and stick it in the images folder. Some mods may require you to upload all the individual pieces into a program like paintnet to piece them together in layers, but this is very easily done and will give you a nice custom toddler.

You should do the first one, delete the two toddler spritesheets so that Children Take After Spouse can load it's own spritesheets.

Due to how unique children handles sprites, you can't drag and drop them in to this mod. I tried simply deleting the ones in the mod without replacing them, but this resulted in their schedules breaking and staying in bed all the time so unfortunately it's not compatible.

Is there a reason theres no portrait for the child ? How would I manually add one :( https://smapi.io/log/678c8c7776174b4c9fe20ca83715dd30

Because children do not have portraits by default, because vanilla children don't have dialogue.. If you want one, you have to make one yourself.

If it isn't too much to ask could we get a version that allows us to use seasonal sprites for both of our children? I went into content.json and tried figuring out how to do this on my own but unfortunately I don't know what I'm doing haha.

I would love this! I unfortuantely have no idea how to implement this myself. Maybe you could ask on the Stardew discord? They have a modding help channel I've used in the past.
