Check the mod description. There is a lot of info there, about compatibility, how the mod works, data files, config...
When reporting a problem, it's really helpful to upload your log here (https://log.smapi.io/) and post the link. Even when there is no error in the log, there is info about versions and the other mods you are using. I will probably ask this info or ask for the log on my first answer, so it will speed up the communication process.
When supporting a mod we deal with people of all levels of knowledge, so don't be offended if I consider or ask basic stuff, I don't know you. And even experts can make mistakes.
Just curious, if I wanted to add a new meat type for a content pack, how would I go about that? I have figured out how to make packs with the given data in the template folder, but there is no obvious way on how to specify what kind of meat it would drop when either butchering the animal, or trading it for meat.
I am having an issue with insemination. I had the deluxe barn with a single, adult cow and yet when I attempted insemination it said something about the barn not having enough space for pregnant animals. Restarting the game has not resolved the issue.
This mod works very well with the Meadowlands Farm, thank you for your hard work!!
I had a weird issue with the insemination syringe mechanic. I tried to use it on a sheep, but a message states that the barn doesn't have space for pregnant animals, when none of the other two animals are pregnant (and it is already a deluxe barn). I thought this was bc the max pregnant animal limit is shared between all barns and I had 2 other cows pregnant in the other barn so I waited until they gave birth, but I still can't use the syringe on the sheep. Any idea why? Thanks in advance.
I'm on Fall day 1 on the 1st year. I have 23 chickens and duck and I have not received my Feeding Basket. I tried to use add function but it doesn't add one.
hi there! I have treats disabled but still want to keep the animal contests on. do you have a suggestion for how to change the point range needed to win in a balanced way, so that I don't win every time but still have a chance with an animal with full friendship?
and, unrelated, but do you plan to add dinosaur meat?
There are 2 categories with a max of 3 points related to treats, so you should subtract 6 from 14 for the MinPointsToGaranteeWin, that should be 8. For the MinPointsToPossibleWin, 5 would be to few, so I think 6 would be fair.
No plans for dinosaurs meat. For now they will keep giving a random kind of meat.
Hello, I'm so sorry to ask, but I can't figure out how to put the treat in the basket. I've tried right click, left click, both of those with shift and again with control and again with alt... Nothing happens no matter what I try. There's no error in my log to show you... It's just that the treat doesn't go in the basket. @_@
EDIT: Oh, I looked on the next page, and it turns out that it's because I thought any fish was okay. Is there a config option for an easier mode where all crops and fish can be used? Cats also shouldn't eat too much tuna, haha.
Really enjoying this mod so thank you! I had a new issue today that I haven't seen before. I butchered 3 rabbits because I wanted to cook them but each time I got chicken meat :(
Is there a way to manually fix this? Thanks again!
Hey there! I don't have any other meat mods. The meat was both labelled chicken and stacked with the other chicken I butchered. I have been testing this and it happened one other time (I had a coop with only bunnies and slaughtered all of them - I ended up with 4 chicken meat and the rest was rabbit meat).
It hasn't happened in the last couple days though :)
Yeah, pretty weird. No idea what could be causing this. And with no step by step to reproduce, it’s difficult to trace it. at least it’s not happening now. let me know if you find out more about it.
How do the animal contest bonuses work? For fertility, is it decreasing gestation by one day or by a percent? And what does it do for animals who can't be inseminated? And for productivity, does it make chickens which already produce every day for example produce twice as much? And does the bonus work on pigs? Would love more information on this!
Production bonus make every product from the animal be iridium quality. Fertility make egg animals produce an extra egg, that adds up with the new 1.6 item bonus. For animals that can be inseminated, that reduce the pregnancy by 10%. That means one day for most animals and two for pigs.
Really love this mod and this has been a staple in all my playthroughs. Ever thought on making artisan meat products/machines? like a sausage maker or meat dryer?

Edit: All of a sudden it's working, not sure why!

Thanks 🐮
do you have the required heart with Marnie?
do you received the other tools?
I don't have any hearts with marnie yet.
I only got the Meat wand tool.
Thanks
