I want to apologize in advance. I've been making some craftables for this mod and played with it for some time, and that made me realize that I don't think I want to go on with developing it.
I do like the look of the flowers in-game, but it is the names that really bug me. Compared to the vanilla crops and flowers, 'Sunrich Lime Sunflower' or Queen of Bourbon Rose' are a mouthful and I abhor them. I will not continue with the plan of making artisan goods items or custom vendors, but I will remake the mod instead with simpler and less convoluted names for the flowers so I can play with my own mod and feel a genuine enjoyment of it.
hi! I love this mod but it seem that after the stardew update 1.6 the seeds are not working. They appear in the game but cannot be planted for some reason.. not sure if it is the mod or maybe something else that may be causing this but just wanted to let you know in case it is the mod.
It's the same for me, for this mod and also some other crop mods that haven't been updated. I looked into the files for mods that work, like Lumisteria and cornucopia, and the code to add items to shops has changed. I'm not tech savvy enough to understand the code though :(
I don't know why the codes don't work too, sorry. Currently I'm working on a new version of this mod, QL Flower Garden 2 that would be compatible with the 1.6 update. You can check out the images in my user profile for previews.
Will you update this for 1.6.? I love this mod so much, I've been making flower farms in my old saves with it. :) The seeds show up in game via CJB item spawn, but not in any shops to buy. I haven't planted any, because I don't want to risk corrupting my new 1.6 save.
Hi! I adore your mods and work <3 I was curious, I use stardrop mod manager, and despite updating the mod, it still shows as not updated in the list. Could I be doing something wrong?
This is one of my top essential mods for any playthrough--it just so happens I found it in time to do a flowers-only farm! Absolutely gorgeous attention to detail which revitalized my interest and effort in foraging.
My only question is in regards to the giant versions, do they have any special circumstances compared to base game crops? I've been trying to grow 7 giant flowers for 2 in-game weeks (I made sure to check which flowers have a giant version) and none have gone giant yet. Meanwhile I had a giant tulip and giant blue jazz pop up as soon as the 3x3 bloomed (giant base flowers added by More Giant Crops and Neo's Giant Flowers). Do I need to add the giant crop images to the MoreGiantCrops assets folder? Or maybe I just need to be more patient? I did use Hyper Speed-Gro fertilizer to push them along, could that affect the odds in any way?
There are no special stuff added for the giant version of the flowers added by this mod. On one playthrough I get no giant flower for a whole year, and on another one I got a giant iris on spring Y1, so it's probably just luck!
And thank you for trying my mod, I'm happy you like it! :)
Hello! Sweet Violet is added by my other mod, QL Wildflowers. Most of the flowers in there are listed under Greens category so they show up at the foraging tab at the end of the day event (the counting event before saving, idk what it is called). Sweet Violet is actually an exception, I put it under Flower category in the .json file. The reason nothing shows up is probably the CategoryOverride field inside the .json that I left empty. I'll try to fix it in the next update.
Hi, I love this mod! I was just wondering though, the photo with the oils and the different flowers how can you obtain those? Are they part of your Mod?
The oils are sunflower oils, made by putting sunflowers from this mod into the oil maker. The flowers in the pic are lavender silk irises (also from this mod).
Hi, I love this mod so much!! :) Just a question, when I put your sunflowers into the oil maker I only get your sunflower oil, not the deluxe sunflower oil, can you please tell me, how to get the deluxe one? When I press F1 over the oil maker your sunflower oils are not in the list of the recipes, do you know why?
Thank you! Deluxe sunflower oil is produced from Black Prince Sunflower and Golden Bear Sunflower, iirc. Both aren't available in first year. As for the recipe list, I don't aware of the F1 key. Is it a vanilla feature or from a mod? If the latter, I think it might be because the mod doesn't automatically work on modded flowers.
Thank you! :) Yes, I think it's the UI Info Suite mod that displays the information when you hover the mouse over machines and press F1. It displays the necessary inputs from other modded crops/items, so I was surprised when it didn't show yours.
I was literally just scratching my head why this doesn't work. It's the Lookup Anything mod that uses the F1 key to provide information, and the Deluxe/Regular Sunflower Oil using this mod's flowers do not appear. I play with Joseph's Seeds from the Grampleton Makers Mod, and they have Sunflower variants as well. I tried changing one of Joseph's seeds to use the Sunflower Oil object from this mod, and that recipe promptly showed up when I pressed F1. I'm absolutely mystified why this mod's recipes do not appear in Lookup Anything.

Thank you for all the kind words and support.

Nonetheless, thank you for a beautiful mod!!

I noticed in my game that the category for Sweet Violet doesn't show up as flowers.
Nothing shows up actually.
