Out of curiosity, if I added more names to the enablednpcs list and continued on for listing the npc requirements or just to the npc requirements, would this work for other mods or would this corrupt the game?
If you added more names in the config.json, then nothing would happen. You'd need to add them in the code itself for it to work. If there's enough interest for adding a version for Ridgeside or other mod-added characters though, I could do an optional file for those.
I would adore if you did add a compatibility for other modded NPCs. I know you won't do so for SVE, but it would be lovely to have one for East Scarpe, Ridgeside, Museum Expansion, etc.
thank you so much for this, i love it!! it makes the relationships with other characters in the game more meaningful and significant to your own as a player. i always wondered why this sort of detail wasn't added to the game, considering robin, for example, seems like the type to secretly observe her son's potential partner, demetrius outright gets suspicious of anyone hanging around maru, haley seems like the type to actually step in as a sibling in case her sister gets with a jerk, etc.
p.s. idk if it still matters, but i'd also be interested in a ridgeside version! no pressure though. anyway, i'm also using some others mods of yours to add detail to my game, so thank you again!!
Thank you for the lovely comment! <3 At the moment, I'm pretty focused on Diverse Stardew Valley's 4.0 update, but I'll see if Rafseazz would be okay with me doing Family Approval RSV in the future!
The "single" tag being removed is intentional. They might still be single, but they're not available until you've reached the designated friendship levels, much like how Gus is single but isn't available. This mod also doesn't affect heart events in any way.
Because I strongly dislike how mod users often hound authors to add SVE compatibility whether they like it or not, sometimes to the point of telling people that they won't use their mod if it's not compatible, and because FlashShifter refuses to add compatibility or adapt or change SVE to accommodate other mods despite SVE affecting so much of the game that it pushes out other mods. There's other personal reasons too, but I'd rather not get into that.
Some people would say the opposite, that they don't care about their family's opinion about their partner but they wouldn't want to date someone that their friends hate. That's why it's configurable

one issue is the heart events and the "single" title will disappear when using this mod.
keep up the good work!
wait so unless i get the right amount of hearts with friends and family the single title and the grey hearts will be gone?
