Would it be possible to have a version without the boarding house? I think it would be rather sad if she was literally the only one there at the boarding house.
Funny enough, one of the reasons I put her in the boarding house was so that it wasn't as empty, cause I only had a few npcs that lived there.
Anyways, what I could do is have a version where she just starts the day at the bus stop or something. It's been a while since I touched the mod, but I think that would be easy enough, if that's something people want. I think it would be a little weird, but if the issue is just that people don't want the boarding house, then I could do it.
This NPC sounds so interesting, I do hope you decide to update this mod and continue with your plans to expand on her. Also wanted to note her current pathing at the bus stop when she arrives is off with the changes from 1.6 but I was able to use the noclip mod to complete it.
Man, it'd be awesome if all female versions of (at least) the vanilla marriagable guys were their own characters! Maybe somewhat like the guys with taste and interests, but more feminine.
Long answer: One of the big reasons I decided to make a female Shane character was because the assets were free to use. I've tried many times to make sprites and portraits of my own for various original characters but have rarely come even close to a result that I liked. When I did make this character using those free-to-use assets, I saw a lot of the discussion about the mod being along the lines of "It's just a copy of Shane," or "He stole those assets for his mod." Whereas my other two mods are much easier to produce and get better feedback.
So yeah, I'm not exactly against the idea, and I've even thought about how I would go about it, but I don't have the resources, or the motivation, to do so.
I see, sad how things can happen, and haters always will be a thing ... i kinda quit caring about them, lately.
I'd just prefer to have the female versions, so the guys can stay male(not very attractive to me, a bi man), and i have the cuter versions which are attractive to me.
It's actually a step beyond simple genderbending! "Genderbending them? No, i'll make them new characters!"
And the reason i said "somewhat like the guys", is cuz it'd be better to have them similar, but not the same. ... Haha, or science fiction! Like them being from a multiverse XD "This is me as female? Cool!" Maybe sometimes they mention it, but mostly they just do their stuff. Maybe like a sunday, when having a weekend, they talk with their female counterpart(in Shane's case, i think Sam would love to be around a cute version of himself, haha).
... I wish i could mod now XD I start talking about 1 thing, a few ideas come up, i type them out, and a whole book has been made, haha!
But anyway, i hope someone else will make such mod, then.

It would be cool if they didn't interact romantically. But maybe you don't want to create support for mult spouses. At any rate, looking forward to a playthru with this mod. Thanks for making it.
You're quite welcome. :) As for the multiple spouses thing, I think I do know how to fix it, but since you aren't even supposed to be able to romance Shay right now, I don't see it as a pressing issue.
