So... there's no good way to say this, but things have progressed for me medically to a point where currently I need a hiatus at minimum. I'm not trying to get too personal but it's looking like I have MS (Multiple Sclerosis) which has been giving me a lot of issues just functioning. So what I'm going to do is release the incomplete update I was working on soon. Event 14 will not be included unfortunately. I'm really sorry it's gotten to this point but well, this update is vital for 1.6 and I don't want to delay it any longer. So this will include TONS of things I finished before I got to this point, but will exclude event 14 sadly due to not being done. Sorry everyone, and thank you for being so patient. The next few days will be me cutting around the incomplete content to deliver only what's complete currently
Commenting now to get ahead of any potential spam/questions regarding 1.6. As of writing this, it is 3/19/24 the day of 1.6's release.
"When will you update the mod?" | The update will be dropping no later than next Friday, I have an operation in 3 days so timing is unfortunate.
"Will the mod break with the new update?" | When I ran the current version of Sydney on my beta version of 1.6 it ran normally.
"Will I lose progress with Sydney when the update for this mod does release?" | No.
"Will Sydney finally be compatible with Zoro?" | Yes.
"Will Sydney be added to the new events coming with 1.6 in the next update?" | Maybe.
"Sydney is broken after 1.6 should I submit a bug report?" | I kindly ask that all bug reports be filed after my upcoming update.
Those were the questions I could think of off the top of my head probably receiving a lot of. Rest assured, support for Sydney will continue well into the future. As always, thank you to everyone who supports me, you mean more than you know!

Much love Lex! Thank you for making the best Stardew NPC. Take care and take all the time you need.
In the meantime, if anyone else is having issues with Sydney's festival dialogue while Lex recovers, here's an easy fix:
The problem is there's some paragraph breaks that don't work anymore and need to be removed. Open Data > CharacterData > Dialogue > Dialogue.json. Find the section titled as //Questions.
Replace that section with this and it should fix the dialogue. If it doesn't, open it in your text editor and manually delete the paragraph breal between the lines. If you're having issues with marriage dialogue, scroll down and follow Ellindsey's fix.

IF YOUR DIALOGUE STILL DOESN'T WORK and you're using the festival location fix, try taking the i18n folder from [NPC] Sydney and copy+pasting that folder directly into [CP] Sydney Festival Compatibility Patch. this solved the issue on linux but was not necessary on mac.
So the custom gift dialogue mod is not updated and I don't think it will be updated. is it possible this will get updated to not need the gift dialogue mod

Lex, if you're reading this I hope you're doing okay.
