      If you got Adopt'n'Skin you can rename the image files and just put them in there in the folder!
      Might need to adjust the images since dinos and cats got different sets, but its most certainly doable!

   If I make a new character, would it show that it's been replaced when picking a pet for character creation? Or would I have to wait for Marnie to show up with it?

      You have to wait for Marnie. The colors of the cat heads in character design will correspond with the color of the bearded dragon!

   this mod is amazing and I would love to use it, but I have one request
   
   Could you release a version that replaces dogs? there are even various free lizard sounds (including a beardie eating) up on freesound.org
