   Is there a way to choose the option you want while placing it down?

      you need to use the paint bucket after placing the furniture down. you can get it at the carpenters shop

   This doesn't work for me for some reason. Your wooly plushies work and so does your bathroom furniture, so I'm a bit worried lol. I've placed 3 baskets so far. Any idea what could be wrong? 
   Edit: It does work! It's just that not every wall basket actually changes.

      You need to use the Paint Bucket Tool on them. AT gives them a random texture.
