Occasionally, and I'm not sure what causes this, the mod stops displaying the friendship gains as of the most recent update, a reboot fixes the issue but it always reoccurs sooner or later.
every time i talked to an npc it shows that i have 20 friendship points left to progress to the next h, but when i give them a gift the number is different. like if i gave a no quality leek to george, it showed i have 80 points left, but when i talked to him, it suddenly jumped to 20 points. could it be clashing with friendship without talk? i used that mod before with this and it worked fine, so i'm not sure what's with the weird numbers
everytime i gain friendship with a modded NPC (such as victor or sophia from SVE) my SMAPI code window freaks out and spams '[NPC] hat keinen Offset'. is there a reason for this? or is there just a compatability issue between this mod and modded NPCs?
yes. All Characters need an Offset which shows, how much pixel from the Top must be ignored, so the face is centered ... since the lil head is shown for 75 Frames, it shows 75 times :S i am planning to manage that by a files, called suffix.txt, but for now i had no time to make it ... i will try to insert that in a couple of days.
did you ever get around to testing it? perhaps you could at least not have it print [I Got Friendship] NPC_name hat keinen Offset 200 times and only print once so it doesn't clutter up the SMAPI code window.
Awesome, although the title may not do the feature justice (I'd append something like '- Show Point gains' to be more descriptive and for searchability).
What I find particularly great is how it seems to be working with pretty much ever 'social' mod (like Part of the Community, Passive Friendship). I merely have yet to check events (including those of Friend of a Friend) as well as if it shows when FP is gained for everybody.
Now what I'd also like to suggest, especially due to Part of the Community making one get a point (or default 2) when talking to someone to everyone nearby, is a summary on queued events. Like showing several at once (perhaps configurable), one more for 3, 4 or 5 (so 6/8/10 show two, 9/12/15 show three &c).
Thank you. I just shipped a few new items and welp, I had every known NPC scroll by (and I have many Expansions) but it luckily just took 2-3 Minutes. Afterwards, I also found it working with Friend of a Friend. One possible option I just considered is a low threshold i.e don't show if the gain is X or below. I'd set it to 2 in my case), others meanwhile could perhaps set it to the value of talking, to only have significant gains noted.
I'm glad that it is made the default to show gains instead of 'how much till the next heart' since with all these mods the system became a tad more complex (and rewarding). I'll see if I can make a collection out of them with a proper config, once I found the proper balance (since I just got 42 for 42 items while Friend of a Friend only got me 2-5-8 on Hard). This mod especially will help me with the fine tuning since some values are hidden (Friend of a Friend) or awkwardly named (Part of the Community).
I suggest providing a .zip download instead. That's easier for players since any OS can unpack it by default (including Android), unlike .rar which needs custom software.

PS: Still works despite being created a long time ago.
