Hi! If you're looking for assistance with this mod, I need a smapi.io/log to help debug.
(also if you could run a harmony_summary in console before sending the log that'd be much appreciated! Just type those words into SMAPI's console and hit enter.)
since we're not hearing anything, i'm gonna be trying out this one instead https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/22991 i hope it at least tides some people over!
have i lost it or is there a giant crop on ginger island?! i have been trying forever to get giant crops on ginger island but it never works. is this function part of this mod?
Slapped a tapper on an ancient gem berry, a starfruit and some others, however it did not tap anything. It does however on a potato and some other lower quality fruits. How do I fix this?
It's just looking for the first keg product. For the case of the sweet gem berry, for example, it can't usually be processed by the keg, hence no product.
Anyways, I'll need a log with a harmony_summary (see pinned message) to debug.
Hey I love the look of this mod but i have a question about production time because I like to maximize efficiency in my games. I know you mentioned in another comment on someone's post that the profit per day is generally consistent but I'm just curious what that consistency is referring too. Is it between other giant crops, as compared to kegs, as compared to the amount of produce the giant crop would yield if immediately placed in kegs, or something entirely different. I know you mentioned it's not meant to be a money maker which is fine but I'm curious if it would be better to tap a crop versus just harvest it and throw it all in a dozen kegs. Hopefully this question makes sense.
Consistent no matter which crop you tap, it'll produce approximately 25g per day per square the giant crop takes up (so approximately 225g/day for a standard 3x3 giant crop) for the default tapper. It's not meant to be competitive with kegging (and is deliberately below, say, just filling the space with diamonds in crystallaria for 150g/square/day), just a little extra money. If you're going for maximum profit, you'll probably need to look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you want the amusing thing that is a giant cup of coffee producing more coffee...
hi!! i love this mod i use it with every playthrough i do because it's just genius, but i have a small (and probably a little silly) question. with my gameplay i usually pickle all my vegetables and put all my fruit in kegs..is there any way to change the output from the tapper based on the crop? like for giant cauliflower it could produce pickled cauliflower instead of cauliflower juice? i get that doesn't make much sense though but it was just a thought i had! no worries if it's complicated or just not doable :)
It's perfectly possible; I have an override system that I never bothered to document. I'll get around to documenting it sometime but the tl;dr is that it's pretty easy to write a small content patcher mod to adjust what this mod produces!

(the actual reason why this mod still doesn't have automate support is because I can't be arsed to do it right before I have to re-do it for 1.6.)

Is there an example json of how to set up a different item/duration for the tapper?
