Hate to send you a message through here but not sure where else to go. Wish there was a way to send you a message via Nexus. Yours is the name that keeps popping up when I search for how to do it. Anywho...
I'm having several issues with Vortex. It's not getting rid of mods that I've removed or disabled due to updates for 1.6. It keeps showing files I've been getting rid of in SMAPI. They are showing up as empty file folders or it's not connecting to other mods correctly. I can't find where the Vortex "mod" file is on my computer to manually get rid of them. Like, I have uninstalled all my DGA mods that I can find in my Vortex mods list. Then I went into my mods folder and did it there (removed the folders) but they are still getting error messages in SMAPI. How can I correct this?
I understand that the use of a mod manager is not the best way to go but I use a lot of mods and I like it that way as long as they work with each other :) However, it also makes it hard for me to keep track of them properly especially with all the updates. I have over 600 mods so working with Vortex allows me to keep on top of updates and other things easier than I could manually.
One of the other issues is that the version of a mod is up to date in Vortex (downloaded and installed by me: some mods are picky about installing into a mod manager like "Warps"; or an update downloaded and installed by Vortex by me), still say they need an update in SMAPI? The whole point to using a mod manager was/is to make the process easier. At the moment, I feel like I'm having to do it manually anyway and duplicating efforts. I don't like the RED lol

Sorry so long winded
You will always need to have the latest SMAPI installed via Vortex, this is what loads the mods when the game starts.
