    If anybody wonders - this mod works fine with 1.6 Stardew.

    Thank you for creating this mod, it really brings more joy into the game!

    Thank you for creating such a great mod.

    Would it be possible to add a line in the config file to change the amount of time it takes for the mod to be activated? Say, from 3 seconds to 1 second, for example? I've been trying to find a mod that allows Pause Buffering without having to pull up the menu screen.

    Hi. Thanks so much for this mod. I love that I can now just sit and listen to the music and ambience without worrying about wasting time :)
    (removed the rest because I was wrong, whoops)

    Hi =)

    I love the concept behind the mod. But I do have a QoL suggestion. Is there any way you could make it to where we could toggle it on or off with Mod Config? Or with even a button press? One reason is because if we're in a situation where we just have to stand there and wait for something, like an NPC or for a shop to open for example, we'd have to run around in circles or something the whole time to keep time from freezing lol.

    I'm doing some testing for a few different mods right now, and I was standing somewhere to verify that an NPC will show up at a certain spot on schedule, then when I looked up from my phone I realized that only 10 minutes had passed in-game because I forget that the ZenMod was active XD

    So for right now I'd just have to remove the mod from my mod folder and put it back when I'm done. But some kind of toggle option would make other such situations in the future easier =)

      You can use time speed or cjb cheats for that. Both have more features than just stopping time though.

      I actually do use TimeSpeed, it's a great mod. I like that the ZenMod pauses time automatically after a few seconds though. It just saves that little step of having to manually hit the key to stop time, and then again to restart it. Also I just like how more natural it feels. You sit down on a bench and chill for a second and it realizes "Oh, you're just wanting to chill? Okay". And with the way I play I'm more likely to do that more often than the other cases where I'm waiting outside a shop for it to open.

      I haven't tested it yet, but I don't know if trying to use the TimeSpeed mod and the Zenmod together might work where I could just hit the button to restart time, or if it would just auto-pause after a few seconds again.

      aah, I see. Idk if you edited your original post or I just completely misread it, but I thought you just wanted to toggle time, not toggle the feature of time pausing after a few seconds of not moving.

      lol no prob. I didn't edit the first post, but it's very possible that I just did a poor job of explaining it XD.

      I know it seems like a small thing, and it is, but it just feels more immersive to me and less like I'm blatantly using a "cheat" whenever I just sit down on a bench or something and then a few seconds later time just stops on its own. Rather than me tapping a key to do it, and then re-tapping it when I'm ready for the clock to start again. But then I remembered "Wait, what about those times where I'm standing outside of Pierre's for an hour until he opens? I'd have to run around in circles to keep the ZenMod from triggering." lol.

      Aha, I didn't think about that. The idea with Zenmod was always to have it in the background and not interact with it directly so it feels natural, however, turning it off with a button press doesn't sound too bad if it helps pass time. I'll look into this when I have more time :)

      Thanks =)

      Ideally I hope there's no conflict between it and TimeSpeed. The default game speed is 10 in-game minutes equals 7 real world seconds. I like to use TimeSpeed to change it to 10 in-game minutes equals 10 real world seconds. To me it still maintains the time management aspect of the game, while also just taking the edge off and giving the player a bit more breathing room.

      But there are those moments where you just want to take a time out and just sit down, or stare out at the ocean for a bit. And it's nice if the Zenmod can just stop time as intended, without it feeling like an exploit. But there are those rare moments/exceptions where you don't want time to stop. Just fyi, the "n" key is what stops/starts time with the TimeSpeed mod, if it's at all possible for them not to conflict with each other. I'm not sure what the best solution would be mechanically-speaking though.

      I could probably test this pretty easily, but I think it should work with it, as all the mod does is repeatedly set the game's time interval to 0 whenever an integer (number) is above 3, and it counts up every second of in-game time. The counter resets to 0 if you press any button when your player is able to move. So whatever sets the time interval to something else than 0 (probably in the base code that I haven't looked at yet) probably respects the config that sets time interval to something else than 7.

      EDIT: Thanks for QoL suggestion, I have now uploaded 1.0.2 where you can toggle ZenMod off and on. And yes, it works with TimeSpeed!

    my whole thing is that i don't download mods that completely break the balance of stardew, i download mods that COMBINE to break stardew bc i think it's fun and hooooo BOY i love this one! combining this with let me rest and waterbot means i can just. left click to make waterbot water all my crops and go make a cup of tea and not have to worry about coming back when it's done bc time will stop when it's done AND let me rest will replenish a little extra energy while i go bugger off!! it's great!!

    sorry, it tells me that the manifest.json file has problems.

    technical details: error parsing NaN value. Path 'UpdateKeys', line 9, position 18.

    that says smapi

    I want to know if the problem is just mine, because it doesn't seem like anyone else has had an error.
    if not, can you help me?

      Fixed the problem, I don't know how, but somehow the Updatekey got lost. The latest file I just uploaded should have the issue fixed.

      If that doesn't fix it, go into the mod folder and open manifest.json in notepad or something, then change the line where it says Updatekey: *something* to this:

      Updatekey: [ "Nexus:12899" ]

      You can just copy paste the above line. That should fix it.

      Oh no. Are you sure there's no secret input your computer does during that time? I think any button presses and mouse clicks will cancel it. I'm asking because I bought a new used laptop like a year ago and it sometimes spams | without me doing anything.

    Hi! I noticed on the new update 1.0.1 that there is a problem with the manifest.json file and it is caused by few mistakes.

    On the manifest, it says this on these two sections:
      "Version": "1.0.0",
      "UpdateKeys": [Nexus:12899]

    But to fix the problem, it should be this instead:
      "Version": "1.0.1",
      "UpdateKeys": [ "Nexus:12899" ]

    Smpai really likes being picky haha, but either way, thanks for the update on this wonderful mod! It is perfect timing for me because Im starting on a challenge run that requires lots of fishing! Thanks for making this mod <3

      Thank you so much, I will upload the new manifest file now :P New version though doesn't stop time when fishing, so you'll have to use the first version if you want that. But it was unintended, as I only really wanted time to stop if you do nothing.

      No problem! Im glad I was able to help :)

      Also just to clear up the confusion, the newer version is the one I wanted since I dont want it to affect fishing. Again thanks for this mod and have a nice day/night!

    Wonderful, finally I can watch my beautiful fireflies ( https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1377) on my beach farm as long as I want without falling asleep! Such a brilliant idea, thank you!
