Hello! I have been loving this mod; it adds a nice touch to my Japanese farm. The only thing I can't figure out is how to harvest the bamboo shoots. I tried chopping down the bamboo but that only gave me wood and sap. How do I harvest the bamboo?
Just brainstorming... but instead of as a fruit tree, is it possible to code them as self propagating trees like the Oaks, Maples, and Pines?
That way they'd spring up over time with new saplings around them and when dug up those would potentially be the new Bamboo Sprout item instead of say Acorns or Pinecones.
To be fair though... I don't even know if its possible to add new resource trees in like that.
I have soo many ideas and suggestion for your bamboo but ofcourse we are currently still limited in SDV 1.5. Hopefully in SDV 1.6, you can make another tree type beside Pine, Maple, Oak, and Mahogany!
Idea -If you shake Bamboo or cut it down, it might drop "bamboo rice". -Young Sprouting (The Shoots) can be chopped to get the Young Shoots.
you're welcome <3 I'm thinking about turning them into bigger craftables so they can be put next to each other without the 2 spaces inbetween and so that the sprouts don't look like they're flying in the air :D

They work exactly like fruit trees, so you should be able to just shake them :)

Well.... fingers crossed we'll see some freedom in that department once 1.6 opens the field up more for mods.
