For some reason everything works except the truffle nerf, which is legit the entire reason I downloaded it lol. https://smapi.io/log/7ab9ebe6ad174e1abf9ef54068d0e7e1
I know about the 2 error logs, ive had those for a 60+ hours of play so that hasnt caused any issues and isnt related to it. Also im playing on a older version of SMAPI because certain mods arent fully updated that I want to use for newer smapi.
Hi there! this mod has been updated and merged into my other mod Balanced Valley, you can check animals and other features, and it's fully configurable!
Love this mod and the fishing and mining ones so much! I just wish it didn't nerf the truffle prices so insanely much, because pigs still cost so much (16000) and with truffle oil selling for only around 400g. I get that this is meant so you don't have to use only pigs but it makes them basically worthless (besides the community center bundles) since they don't collect over winter either. I was just super bummed to see that since I wanted to have a few on my farm. Is there a way to edit their buying prices or the sell prices of their products?
Heya, I'm really enjoying your balanced valley mods (especially the integration with other mods is impressive). However I'm a bit confused by this one. You lowered the value of mayonnaise and milk, wouldn't this make animals worse compared to crops? Especially when playing with realistic farming that's a long time without any income. I'm still new so I do apologise if I misunderstood something but an explanation behind those changes would be really helpful.
Also would it be possible to change the sell price of grown animals to make them more balanced? (for instance all chicken sell for the same price, even the rarer blue chickens and so on) Thanks for making these mods
Crops are around half of the profit of vanilla, so everything else is effectively buffed by that change and some things needed nerfs because the overall profit in these mods is much less than vanilla. These mods are meant to slow down your profits some.
Hello I have a question so I used this and it doesn't work for me I checked the prices and its still the same prices for the vanilla. Do I need to start over because I used this mod on my year 2 or maybe I did something wrong.
Hello, the new prices will only apply to the new products you get from animals, also make sure you don't stack them with the old ones in a chest or they will switch to the old price too, you can reverse this by stacking the old products into new ones in a chest
More of a general Question, but I am using Artisan Valley (Which adds Butter, Yoghurt amongst other things). I am just wondering if a compatibility mode for that would be possible.
Hi, first of all love the mod, thank you for your hard work, wanted to point out something I found, I have a coop full of dinosaurs cause I was going for the mayo, but, the iridium quality mayo is significantly cheaper than the gold quality one, around 1.2k cheaper. I am playing with Walk of Life enabled so my machines output iridium mayo out of iridium eggs and noticed this, other values for other animal products seem to match the spreadsheet.
Hey! I think the issue is that you had an old iridium quality mayo in your chest before installing this mod and now new iridium quality mayos turn to the old price as they stack, try to empty your chest and see if the issue is still there
Hello!! Love your mods, downloaded them last week and now it has become a necessity in my save file. Thank you so much for balancing my gameplay. I have to ask though would you ever consider balancing the cooking and food of the game as well one day because food prices are absolutely broken in the game lol. It would be really great to see balanced food prices instead of gus just taking all of our money! Thank you and have great day!!
Hi there! thank you for checking my mods I'm glad you enjoy them! I like the idea of balancing food and I might make one but not anytime soon since I'm running low on time these days, but I'll consider doing it when I have some free time for sure :D
Sadly, editing vanilla shop prices require a complete rebuild of the shop to my knowledge. These mods are designed to slow progression down, and easier obtainable energy in the early game would sort of do the opposite. You can eat fish/forage/crops in the early game then make your own dishes in the mid game, or just sell a few fish/forage/gems/artifacts/etc and buy a couple meals from gus. I've never bothered with Gus shop because it feels like a waste of money to buy food in general when you can just eat something you obtained for free. I think meals are intended to be more of a mid game onward food source.
Hey, maybe it's already been answered but I can't find it anywhere else. If a new update for your mod gets released, can I just delete the 'old mod folder' from the Mods folder and replace it with the new updated one with nothing bad happening to my save file? Also, does this stay true for your other balanced mods too? Thanks in advance and love all your mods btw, really enjoy the fresh playstyle.
yes your save file will be fine and that applies for all mods not only mine, you just need to set the config again to your settings and you're good to go
I just realized that this is one out of the three balancing mods of yours that I can download without having to use a mod manager or using the weird 7zip crap (witch I don't know how to use). is I possible to make a "CP" version of the other two (if there isn't one already) and if this doesn't make sence. just one that doesn't com in a .rar file (basiclly) I enjoy this btw, can actualy do stuff now and not worry about money.
Hi there! you can unzip .rar files using WINRAR or 7-ZIP for .7z files, all my balancing mods have both options so you can choose whatever you prefer :D

Thanks for the explanation
For future updates, could the sell price of individual animals be adjusted to reflect those up/downgrades?
Thank you for your hard work!
Thank you and have great day!!
