This unofficial update I did of the mod seems to work, but I could use feedback if anything goes wrong with it. I'm not a real coder, so it took me a bit.
Cranber's Fireflies as a content pack will also need a theoretical change in the manifest.json, so that the last section reads:
Downloaded it Moved my old folder with the critters inside into your new mod Launched it Works well, bees (one of the critters I downloaded in the past) appeared as intended
I downloaded the "update" and there is an empty folder named "critters" inside... shoul I do something with this forlder for my Bees to appear on screen? I removed the old folder before downloading this update, shoul I merge both instead?
I did run into a crash coming back into the farm at night, and I'm thinking it might have been the changed code for the fireflies above. I'm also playing on Wilderness Farm if that makes any difference? Still kinda new at reading JSONs, but it looks like the main issue was "ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added. Key: sconceLight". Linking my crash log if you feel like investigating. Thanks again!
tysm for updating!!! i love having my lil critters back <3 however i'm also having crashes with the fireflies, as soon as i removed the fireflies folder the crashes stopped. would you be able to find a fix for this? <3 here is my crash log, i tried adjusting some things myself to fix it but i'm not smart enough for that lmao thank you in advance, and thanks again for the update!!

i realize that critter mod that add light dont work with unofficial update. Mod like luna moth or fireflies will likely dont appear in game. does anyone know how to fix that? Edit: i find out that you delete the "light" word, the firefliles appear but without the glow effect
just adding to the recent comments, i would absolutely love if someone could update this. i once went trough the process of making my own config file for this and the many critter packs that can be found on nexus, so the critter also spawned of RSV/ES/SVE maps, and I even put specific spawn times and rules and also converted some dig spot mods to custom critters. If anyone or @spacechase0 could update this, i would gladly share my configs for you guys to enjoy too

This mod has become an indispensable part of my SDV experience. If possible, I hope you can take the time to update it. I know nothing about code. Finally, thank you for your creation and wish you all the best.
I didn't realize how much I love this mod until it stopped working. I really miss all the moths, butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and fireflies in my game. I would be ecstatic if someone updated it to work with the latest game version!
