Linus's desire to live free in the wild is valid.
I also think he deserves and needs a place to warm up outside of the snow during winter, so I made this. I feel that a small and modest cabin suits his needs perfectly while still respecting his desires to live naturally.
He's not trapped by a mortgage, or forced to use technology. No frills, no electricity, no modern vices. It's not a house, it's a shelter from the elements just like his tent is. The cabin is just sturdier and less susceptible to vandalism!
If you want, you can think of it like an abandoned shed in town that Linus fixed up and moves into seasonally.
Or it can be his full-time shelter in Pelican Town, like his tent would be otherwise.
(I understand that canonically, Linus likes the way he lives, and that some people think this mod is forcing Linus to do something he would hate. However, to me, an old cabin is barely any different than a tent as far as function! Linus still wants a shelter and a place to store his belongings, or else he wouldn't have a tent at all. A cabin serves the same purpose as his tent, and is still without the parts of modern life that made Linus choose to live in the wild.)
