Since this mod hasn't been updated since January 2019 and contains many bugs, I would recommend more recent mods such as Horse Squeeze or Horse Overhaul, which works better with 1.5

Those mods are using Harmony, this one doesn't. Probably it's not possible to make the horse move more precisely (with a proper hitbox) otherwise. But it's true, "Horse Squeeze" is a better option.

      Yep.
This hasn't been updated because there's nothing to update. It's essentially a one line change and having used it myself for hundreds of hours I don't see the value in introducing complexity. SMAPI Harmony integration is neat and I'm happy to see that people can muck around with runtime method patching!

I used to dislike riding the horse sometimes bc I hated how I couldn't travel through my usual paths, but man, this mod has helped so much. Only con would be that sometimes you get stuck on invisible walls, but honestly it doesn't take long to maneuver yourself out of them

the horse sometimes gets stuck on "invisible walls" and can't turn left or right after passing vertically through a one-tile space it normally wouldn't be able to.

Yes, I have experienced this 'stickiness' as well. I may be forced to follow a wall for several tiles before I can turn away even though the space beside me is wide open. I use the tractor mod (because I have to play one-handed), and this is a big problem in the mines, although it also occurs on the other parts of the map if I get too close to a fence, a wall, a body of water.

    "Known Issues:
Moving diagonally may allow your horse to clip horizontally through objects."

Seeing as I've been exploiting it to get through my vertical fences for weeks, in vanilla, I think it's safe to assume that this isn't an issue with your mod.
(Unless you're saying the problem is notably more pronounced with this mod.. I wouldn't know, I haven't installed it yet. :p)
This mod is just common sense. I noticed with some furniture as well that things have different sized collision boxes based on their orientation, and it's probably my only real problem with this game. Great work!
