I made this work with HD Portraits (easier to use than Portraiture in my opinion) and its also configurable with Generic Mod Config Menu.So by installing this and the 2 mentioned mods, you can choose between having either of the provided portraits + sprite (found here) or the original portrait and original sprite. Feel free to make this into its own mod page or add to the files if you'd like. Required: HD Portraits Generic Mod Menu Config Content Patcher
Really cute indeed. This is only the portrait file in hd scale 4. You should remove the content patcher tag. For using it, first rename it to Krobus.png and replace it in some other mod that replaces krobus in hd, for example talkohlooeys one.
