Stardew & Chill

What does it do?
It replaces many of the music tracks in the game with tracks from the album Stardew & Chill by Dj Cutman and Coffee Date.

Stardew & Chill is a 15 track lo-fi hip hop tribute to the music of indie videogame phenomenon Stardew Valley. With soundtrack selections spanning from its seasonal themes, in-game events, and places to see, Coffee Date and Dj Cutman have crafted the ultimate chill tribute to Stardew Valley. Stardew & Chill features live instrumental and vocal performances with laid-back beats.

But what about permission?

This mod was developed with full and informed permission from the artist/publisher. Additionally, they have indicated to me (bwdy) that streaming while using the mod/music is permitted and will not result in copyright issues.

As soon as I heard the music, I fell in love with it immediately and set about trying to make this happen.  Huge thanks to Dj Cutman for allowing this mod to exist and being so supportive with its development.

Seriously, if you like the music, please show these folks some love, I'm only the delivery person on this one. You can learn more about the music and the artists here, and I personally recommend checking them out: https://gamechops.com/stardew-and-chill/

Stardew & Chill is produced by Coffee Date and Dj Cutman, and published by GameChops. Composed by ConcernedApe.
This is not a sponsored mod, I genuinely loved the music and reached out to them to see if I could put it in the game.

How do I install it?
There are no dependencies other than SMAPI. Just extract the zip into your mods folder and enjoy.

Why is the download size that large?

The release for Stardew Valley 1.5.6 is a rather large download because at its core, the mod uses .wav format audio, because that is what the engine allows (for now). But the quality is exceptional and performance impact should be negligible for most users.

Does this work in multiplayer?
Yes. (Multiplayer is entirely irrelevant to this mod.)
