BFAV Animals Refusing to Produce Unique Json Assets Items
Several users have reported an issue where their BFAV animals have stopped producing their unique Json Assets Items.
Their appears to be a problem with the BFAV Framework that requires fixing - this is above my current coding level.
I have reached out in several places to see if anyone is able to update the Framework and am waiting to hear back. As soon as I know whether we have a solution or not, I will let you all know.
It seems that in the 1.6 Update for Stardew Valley, everything will be resolved. Modders will be able to add custom animals to the game directly through Content Patcher without having to rely on BFAV and its lingering problems.
BFAV mods will need to be deleted and replaced with new, updated versions. I will update my mod once 1.6 is released and the modding community has reached a level of stability.
Our community is vibrant and generous and I have no doubt that even if other BFAV modders are no longer active, unofficial updates for their BFAV mods will also appear.

These are so very lovely I hope they work soon! Oddly enough their pearls are still loaded in the menu but the kitsune themselves cannot be purchased from Marnie due to BFAV being incompatible still </3
I am having the same problem - I can see the items in menu but Marnie isn't selling the kitsunes. I have the unofficial BFAV update but it still don't work TnT Eagerly awaiting the Content Patcher version!

Ok I don't know what's happening - I haven't come across anything like this before - give me a couple of days and I'll keep making enquiries on the Modders Discord Channel to see if anyone has any ideas to help.
I just want to let you know I haven't forgotten about this - I just haven't figured out how to solve it - Your SMAPI log is beautifully clean, no errors, up-to-date with the most current versions. You're running windows, your Kitsune are clearly old enough and loved.
I've asked around on the modding pages and other authors are stumped like me.
I'm truly sorry I can't be of more help.
The one thing I can suggest that I would try - do you know how to back up your save file so you could do a little testing and then roll back your save file once you're done? There are a couple of tests you could run to see if they switch on the functionality:
1. Remove the Mod. Sleep a couple of days to make sure everything is okay, then reinstall it. I don't know what this will do, if your existing Kitsune will reappear or not, but if it does then you can see if it's producing. If it doesn't, buy a new baby and see what happens.
2. A more robust test would be to removing the BFAV Kitsune completely by selling your Kitsune first, removing the mod, sleeping a couple of days and then reinstalling and buying a new baby Kitsune to see what happens.
These would just be tests where you move them along quickly by sleeping through your days otherwise, to see if they fix the issue. Then you can roll back your save to your initial file and if a solution has been found, implement it alongside playing out your days completely.
If you need instructions on how to back up and reinstall saves, I'm more than happy to provide them.
If you decided to go ahead with testing and need more details or information, again, please just ask.

Perhaps the path is specified incorrectly? If so, I feel that the latest mods of JA and BFAV are incorrect.
I'm going to investigate - I'm beginning to wonder - Json Assets has been updated recently - it's possible the new updates are not compatible with BFAV. Let me tinker and see what I can find, I'll get back to you <3

There is but it's a Content Patcher command that I don't think provides added info about Json Assets and BFAV.
If you type "patch summary" (no quotes) into your SMAPI window it will give you an extremely detailed log.
Please may I ask how long you've had the problem for? Did it appear mid-game when BFAV had been working for a while, or was it from the moment you installed BFAV?
Please may I confirm you're using a windows computer? Macs haven't been working with the updated BFAV for unknown reasons.

Thank you - I've sent a message to the modder who updated BFAV - I don't know if he's still modding. If he doesn't reply soon I'll try the general modders page but as he did the update I wanted to try him first because he's likely to know the most about how it works.
Hello! Beautiful mod! But my kitsunes do not produce anything... (as well as my other bfav animals). From comments I got the impression it's because bfav mod is broken in general? Or I'm being stupid and there is a fix?
Yeah, something is up with BFAV - I'm doing my best to find out if there is a fix - it may be we have to wait until someone with more coding experience is able to fix it or FAVR is released. As soon as I've figured out the situation I will be posting the solution here.

Are you playing on a Windows Computer or a Mac? The unofficial update for BFAV isn't working properly for Mac computers at the moment.
