Hey if you'd like to use this mod with Content Patcher (CP) instead of replacing the in game files (which can cause your game to corrupt). You can easily convert it into a Content Patcher mod using XNB2CP (https://xnb.pillow.rocks/).
Here are the instructions from the github page with some added details for this specific mod (https://github.com/anotherpillow/xnb2cp#usage):
Unzip this mod in your downloads folder - Note: before unzipping it put it in a new folder by itself (titled '660315's Portraits') - that way the extracted .xnb files don't all end up in the downloads folder haphazardly.
Select the XNB mod you want to convert with the files icon - in this situation it's '660315's Portraits' mod.
Navigate your downloads folder and upload the 660315's Portraits
folder of the XNB mod.
If your browser prompts you to upload the folder, choose "Upload".
Fill in the manifest fields. (Make sure to credit the original author!) - For the Name of the mod title it '660315's ALL NPC anime portraits mod 2', the Author '660315', and whatever version number you would like to call it (e.g 1.6.0).
Click "Done" and wait for the conversion to finish.
Once it finishes, click "Download" to download the converted mod and before unzipping create a folder titled '[CP] 660315's ALL NPC anime portraits mod 2' and unzip the file inside of the folder and then delete the unzipped file. Then place it in your mods folder and you're ready to play!
Remember this is for personal use only! Don't re-upload the CP version without permission from the original author!
i LOVE how this works for regular stardew. Is there any plans in putting this to where Players who uses smapi can use it too? I have ridgeside and Love your work. would like matching set of this for SDV.
Please note that! This module works like this! Path:Stardewvalley / Content / Portraits The name of the downloaded file is the location of the original file of Star Dew Valley. Please back up the original file content first. Then copy and paste the downloaded file into it. Pay attention to the replacement. After the replacement is successful, they will start working after you run the game once.
