    New version (for V1.6) was released.
    Added some new features. Duplication buff was fixed too.

    Direct link to the latest release.
    Or, direct link to the Nexus Page.

      So there seems to be an issue when i try using the mod. It seems there is no DLL file in the zip folder and i checked to confirm, and its true.
      the code in SMAPI says as much anyway:

        These mods could not be added to your game.
      [SMAPI]       - Lucky Rabbit's Foot (Rebooted) 1.2.0 because its DLL 'LuckyRabbitFoot_Rebooted.dll' doesn't exist.

      Because this is an obsolete release.
      Use the latest one instead.

      Thank you for taking the time to make this mod! Why not make it a like stand alone mod that people can search for the same way I came across this outdated rabbit foot mod? Also does this affect the whole luck like when the TV says you will be lucky or only the luck for instance when you eat food that gives you +1 luck etc? My friends and I were kind of trying to go for the ladder type of luck.

      This mod buff works like a food buff instead of origin value shift.
      This makes it compatible with Luck Skill buff.

      Well, I have uploaded it as a Standalone mod.
      I hope there are no permissions breaks...

    Hello! So funny story, for a long long time I locked myself out of my Nexus Mods account. 2FA was added at some point, but I think I removed it from my phone/never actually added the app and couldn't get in. I haven't played SV in a long time and let this fall by the wayside, but with the new update wanted to dust off the modding. Thank you so, so much to Locked15 for updating this mod for everybody to enjoy.

    As author doesn't have any activity for enough long time (and cause this mod allows other authors to modify it), I created unofficial update for it.
    It is available here: Repo and Release.

    If you just want to use the new version, open 'Release' page, download the mod and extract it to 'mods' folder.
    If you want, you can fork code and make further updates: code is entirely open.

    Short list of changes:

    • Updated platform (to .NET 5) — it means, mod will work more stable and have fewer bugs, caused by platforms differences;
    • Added translation support (by native SMAPI functions, in 'i18n' folder);
    • Added compatibility with Luck Skill?;
    • Added some new options (like count multiplier and base luck value).

      It's compatible with Stardew Valley 1.5.6.
      It should be compatible with latest (Strict Mode) SMAPI release.

      If you got compatible issues (exclude buff duplication — I don't really know how to fix it), you always can open a new issue on GitHub.

      Do you have any intention of updating this for 1.6?

      Maybe, as soon as I have time for this.
      There are also a few other mods (unofficial updates) that need to be updated.

      By the way, it doesn't seem to be too complicated.

    Will this mod work with a mod that changes the appearence of the rabbit feet? Specifically Rabbit Floof?

    It appears that this mod has a conflict with the luck skill mod it is setting the luck skill to 5 instead of adding to it. i dont know if that is something you can fix but i thought i would let you know.

      Thanks for letting me know! I can look into it, I currently am not using that mod but I wonder if it hard-sets the same field I try to add to, potentially overwriting it. For now I will update this mod to say there's a conflict and post a bug.

      for me it claimed to level up to 3 at the end of the day, and then when i removed it from my inventory my level is now permanently at 0 when its not in the inventory and 1 when it is. The experience bar mod I use claims it's constantly full exp

      This actually also seems to happen if you don't have any other luck-related mod installed.

    To me, +4 max luck seems overdone - assuming/hoping the effect of several items wouldn't stack since then it would be hopelessly OP. Luck +1 would already be the equivalent of a Lucky Ring which is already supposed to be quite good. One could argue that you are able to wear two of those rings, so +2 luck is possible. So, either 0.25 or 0.5 per quality level would seem balanced. Especially considering that if you have a lot of rabbits, you will get an Iridium version rather sooner than later.

    Do rabbit feet stack?
    Is the incompatibility with luck skill still active? Not a big deal, just want to be sure.

    Just an FYI for anyone who doesn't know :

    The rabbit foot doesn't affect luck by design because they are part of one of the secret notes that does let you get a permanent luck bonus.

    This mod will make that secret note irrelevant as the bonuses from this mod are more powerful than the one from the secret note.

    This is still a great idea though :-)

      Thanks for noting this! I've actually never solved note #20 (looking at it in my game, that's the note??), I saw on the wiki it was involved with getting a lucky item but didn't realize the rabbit's foot was part of it. Woops!

      Well, the item you get by completing the secret note #20 "The Special Charm" permanently increases "Daily Luck", but if this Mod does give a "Buff" like eating certain food or drink, or a bonus like the "Lucky Ring" then I don't see why it would make the secret note irrelevant. Remember that daily luck behaves slightly differently than general luck. Daily luck ranges from -0.1 up to 0.1, but with the Special Charm can increase 0.025

    Nice! I was always wondering why it was mostly useless, besides one or two scenes and being able to gift it/sell it.
