Would also love to know this! I just downloaded hoping it might still work, and it unfortunately doesn't seem to (all other required mods are as updated as possible as well)
I really like the mod, that's exactly something I've been looking for to make yet another playthrough less annoying at the beginning. Adventurers gear is a bit underwhelming compared to a better pickaxe. Also does this mod add two more items to the collection? New silhouettes appeared at the end that look like a note and I try to find the culprit.
Half my family is/were farmers and you have no idea how realistic this mod is.
Quote from my dad: "Some years it was down to the harvest if the bank was going to take the farm or not".
There were also loans besides "pure cash" loans like in your mod. On my grandpas farm there were still remnants of commodity liens stuck to the silo doors when I visited as a child. (basically this means "don't sell any crops in here without reporting the sale to the bank/loan holder or else")
It's a shame I can't use this with mail framework mod, every time I try to send anything through the mail I can only see the message to repay my debt, it's there a way to fix this?
Thanks for finding this bug! I've hopefully fixed my code to be compatible with the Mail Services Mod. You can update Flying Start Loan to the latest version for the fix.
That's a great idea! I always love small moments of immersion like this. Something to show that your choice affects your interactions later on. Tweaking events can be tricky, but I've noted it for a possible future update.
Say like Willy gives someone who already came with their own pole his old one, because your clearly someone who values the art and will take care of it. Or perhaps changing the dialogue so he's telling you about how you can get *more* bait with him and sell the fish you've already caught.
Or maybe having anyone who comments on your grandpa's old tools be surprised and perhaps a bit impressed that the newcomer from the city thought to bring nice new axe or pick.
Or perhaps Marlon begrudgingly huff about how you brought your own gear, and perhaps how you should keep the sword anyway cause he's wary of the quality. Note: while items don't break in SDV, the sheer volume of show pieces not meant for even exhibition matches, means someone buying their first sword could in theory gotten the wrong kind, by either their own fault or a shipping mix-up. Meaning that in-story the concern would not be without merit.
It'd be another layer of complexity to the mod, but maybe its something you'd be interesting in pursuing at some point in the future
This would be interesting to pair with the Escape from Joja mod. Which is a mod that pays the farmer severance for their time at Joja, in the form of 50 shares in the company. Now if I'm reading this they're... 3000 each?! Damn.
But the fact that your offering goods that are unobtainable in the earlier parts of the game. With just these two mods and nothing else a person could radically alter the game.

Unfortunately, multiplayer is not supported yet. It might work in its current state, but I plan to work on it in the coming week.Tweaking events can be tricky, but I've noted it for a possible future update.
